He's getting better/smarter. His game has never been a thinking game. He just goes all out every shift, purely instinct driven play. At some point you hope to see him take his game to the next level, and I think he is getting there.

IMo not. He is not smarter. Plus Boll play hard every shift too. And we have problem in the opposite net all our shoots the goalie see Boll is ideal for it. Give him a chance.

We do realize that Dorse is playing 11+ minutes a night right? Is this a Dorse thread or Juice?

Comparing Dorse to Boll is like comparing Beavis to Butt-head.

Why ain't he on IR yet if he will be out until February?

It's wasting a roster spot on both my fantasy leagues

Just take him off your team. It's that simple.

Can you answer me instead of replying with NO information?

It's a 25 roster league with 20 teams so there is a reason why he is on my roster.

I would find a new player, he's played all of 1 game this season. He came back from missing about 4 months from surgery and then got hurt in his 1st game back and has been out since.

Because we don't care why the Jackets haven't placed him on IR, it is not affecting our ability to ice a hockey team at this point. The quality of that team is in question, however.

And honestly, no one gives a crap about your roster on your fantasy team(s). I'm 99.999999% sure Howson doesn't. However you can write him or try him on Twitter if you like.

Did Mommy forget to feed you your Rice Crispies this morning or what?

So why ain't he on IR? Is there a reason he is not?(Salary cap floor?, etc)

I was just hoping someone smart and kind enough around here would help me understand why the BJ haven't put him on IR.

Thank you

When they showed the scratches on the scoreboard last night I saw his name and wondered the same thing. There hasn't been any news from the team about this non-move. Since we are near the cap it is not a floor issue.

While a couple of posters here suffer from self-importance syndrome, the vast majority do not. No worries. Good luck in your league.

As much as Columbus is closer to the cap than the floor I would surmise that Juice has remained on the active roster given he gets paid regardless and right now they don't seem to have motive to call up anyone else and pay another NHL level salary.

It certainly seems odd that he didn't get moved to IR but at this point it's a moot point. It doesn't matter where he is. He isn't playing and doesn't seem to be on the radar to play any time soon.

No, questioning roster moves for your fantasy team is silly and frankly a waste of time.

Because there is no reason (or not to for that matter) until they need the roster spot. If they need the roster move they will place him on IR. LTIR is more of a concern. There is nothing mystical or magical about it. There is nothing to decode. There is nothing anyone but Howson can do about it. Complaining isn't going to get Howson into action.

Spending any time at all watching hockey and all this would be self evident.

I`m wondering if the NHL teams get charged different insurance premiums (for next season) if they have more time lost from players on the injured reserve, and maybe that was a reason for keeping him on the active roster. *shrugs*

Aww, shucks.... Thanks for noticing...

Thank the lucky stars you told him there was no reason for Howson to have not put Juice on IR and someone saying we don't need the roster spot... He didn't seem to believe me.

The heartbreak of Self-Importance Syndrome (SIS) is more prevalent than many believe. Maybe we should consider a telethon? If you want to be one of Jerry's Kids, perhaps we could get Seinfeld?

It's quite crazy that Huselius is not on IR, since even Wisniewski went there right away after getting hurt. Let's see if Letestu goes there as well or if he will go this DTD route, too.

There must be some logic in this, I just haven't figured out what.

The way I understand it, players have to be out for a certain amount of time (kinda like a deductible) before the insurance kicks in. Also, not all players are insured. Only the high dollar guys. I would think Juice would be insured, but not positive. Also, Juice's insurance may be used up for this year. He sat for a long time from the summer on. Insurance premiums follow a player (ie Modin, Klesla, Leclaire) who is injury prone, not a team.

Last I heard he was coming back sometime in Feb most likely. There was nothing to indicate it was a season ending injury.

The Jackets would love to trade him before the deadline, obviously.

Don't know how to link a tweet, but Potzline just tweeted Huse has been placed on IR.

Everyone happy now? You guys clear on how that effects your fantasy teams?
