CBJ need a Top Six Winger

Huselius out 4-6 months.

Quote:
Blue Jackets left winger Kristian Huselius has suffered a torn pectoral muscle while lifting weights last weekend in Sweden, and will have surgery on Thursday in Columbus. He's expected to miss 4 to 6 months.

Leafs might be a good trading partner... Our wings our pretty full - Lupul, Kessel, Kulimen, MacArthur, Kadri, Armstrong, Frattin, etc...

Surely you realize that not all injuries are created equally.

Alternatively...he just really didn't feel like going to Columbus.

----------------

Canucks offer Sturm for a 1st rounder. A top 6 forward for the President Trophy winners and Stanley Cup finalists must be good.

By god. We don't lose one top 6 winger to trade another top 6 forward for another top 6 forward... That makes no sense. Prospects or Picks for a top 6 forward.

How would that benefit us in ANYWAY? We will not be trading a top 6 forward to get a top 6 forward.

Clarke Macauthur could be had depending on how Kadri does at camp. theres no need for this deal to happen immediately

Because he is your third center, no? Or is Brassard going to the wing? If so, I get what you are saying.

Offer sheet for Pacioretty? 22, RFA, worth a punt?
Is Samsonov still available?

Partial tear = no surgery. Complete tear = surgery. They may need to re-attach the tendon.

EDIT: plus we are talking about not only healing but getting it back to where you can compete against the best hockey players in the world.

Vermette is probably going to wing, but either one will go to wing to stay in the top 6.

He re-signed like a month ago.

Columbus and Buffalo seem like good trade partners with the Sabres insane amount of offensive wing depth. Most likely, CBJ grabs one of those reclamating project wingers on the UFA market.

On our CBJ board I had written that I could see the possibility of

Nash Brassard Carter

as a top line at some point during the season to see how it fit. Damn....didn't think it would be opening night. It could be a real possibility until Juice returns. If Howson does want to add a wing I would imagine it would be a creative right wing as the best fit. Too bad Voracek signed already

I'm interested to see what happens here. I wonder if Filatov is available?
