Brian said he's expecting 500 people tomorrow. Got my 16x20 for 25 bucks. Really nice quality picture too. Can't wait to meet him.

Oof, so glad I got him last December before he got huge. That might be as big a mess as the Parise signing after the Olympics. My camera broke before I could transfer the pic I took with him to my computer but oh well.

I sent you a pm on SCF last night. I'm going to AC for the weekend for the Albany Devs game so I can ship out Tuesday

No rush, just responded over there.

I'm planning on getting there around 1:30 or so. Hopefully the line isn't too bad. Just trying to get home before football.

Glossy I assume, and where do you get your 16x20 for $25?

I have some nice Steiners that are 16x20, but when I've seen prices for retail blanks that size, they want ~$40, which I think is crazy. Personally, I think $25 is nuts too, but I realize that's a "good deal" relative to the prices I've seen.

Henrique did a signing at Sports Minded Unlimited today and I picked up the picture there yesterday. It's not glossy though. It's a high res pic. Definitely great quality. Was kind of surprised when the owner said it was only 25 dollar. He also had 8x10s for 6 bucks.

I thought they are $20 16x20s there but maybe Brian just gives me a discount because of how often I come in. Either way to get that picture autographed for $45 can't be beat.

Yeah I'm gonna shell out some extra money for a quality frame, but meeting Henrique, plus a great quality picture, signed, and framed for around 80 bucks total can't really beat it.

In case anyone cares it sounds like the NHLPA is going to ask Upper Deck and Panini to not produce anymore sets this year. This will end up making next year's rookie crop double dipped which should be fun opening boxes.

Yeah I thought it was interesting that Yakupov and company weren't included in this years Score set. Best rookie this year was Kreider.

A player can't have a rookie card unless he dresses for an NHL game so all the draftees from this year weren't eligible for Score, which is why Score usually puts out a midseason "Rookie and Traded" set for guys like Yakupov. All the $100+ packs that come out around the playoffs are not going to sell without a chance at Yakupov and company

Ah, so I guess Score released this series earlier than usual? Last year's set had Larsson, Henrique, RNH, etc.

Edit: Or that whole lockout thing.

No, I think Score released early this year. I want to say late August. Henrique also played in the finale game the year before so he was eligible regardless. But yea, 2011 Score must have released after the opening night or they somehow got special permission

The intern at Upper Deck must have put the wrong sticker on the wrong card. There's already several of them on ebay and this set came out Tuesday so I'm guessing it's not rare so I wouldn't spend more than a buck or two on one.

So i have a Zach Parise signed puck i got like 3 years ago for Xmas.

I am trying to decide if i should leave it alone or do something with it.

Only thing i can come up with is try and wash off the signature and have another Devil sign it.

Or any other ideas people might have here. I guess i could just leave it alone too.

I've never heard of anyone successfully washing an autograph off of a puck. If you don't want it that bad try to sell it. You should be able to get at least 20 for it

i agree with this. as a big auto collector the only thing i can think of is that the auto may only wash off if the puck has a waxy coat on it. if not, sell it for 20-30 bucks, then use the money to buy a box of blank devils pucks and you can have more pucks for more guys to sign!

I have Parise's auto on a puck and a 8x10. Don't really want it anymore. Both have Devils logos on them so I'm not sure if that devalues it.

It does temporarily. As the sting goes away the price will go back up steadily. I have a 16x20 of Zach and Travis over my bed that I need to swap out with either my Clarkson or Henrique 16x20. I think it's been giving me nightmares

That's Pietrangelo's as well. And his cards are correct so I have no idea where the Henrique stickers are unless there aren't any to begin with

Yea. There is a thread on some message board about a year ago chronicling his autograph. He has about 5 variances of it and he's been in the league for what, 4 years? So either he signs these cards while drinking and has no consistency or he gives stacks to family members to do it for him.
