If he makes the team I would guess 35-40. He'll most likely see a dip in ice time with the addition of Richards...he's not really a shooter so I'd guess he'd be on the second powerplay unit if he made the team. Not a bad thing for him, IMO. Much less pressure.
He's got the confidence that Torts is looking for, he just needs to play his game while learning to let the game come to him.
He'll push hard for a spot in the top 6 come training camp and I think he travels with the team to Sweden.
A better tell will be seeing whether or not the Rangers add a vet dman and who that dman is. If it's a guy like Struds clearly he's being brought in to be a vet guy and man the #7 spot while DZ battles with the other prospects for a 5/6 role. But if it's a guy like Eminger then DZ has to not only battle with the prospects but Emmy as well.
My guess is he cracks the top 6 and throws up 35-40 points if he plays a full season. If he gets sent back to the AHL I'm afraid his confidence will shatter and along with it his game.
