Panthers Prospect #5

Here we go again:

Panthers Prospects
#1-- Jacob Markstrom (G)-- 54.72% (40.96% in original poll)
#2-- Jonathan Huberdeau (C)-- 61.02%
#3-- Erik Gudbranson (D)-- 83.33%
#4-- Nick Bjugstad (C)-- 61.70%

I am voting Dadonov here. I feel like he is already a 2nd liner player, and thats what we are hoping Howden becomes in my opinion. Grimaldi is still a 1st line possibility for me, but the boom/bust factor comes into play. However it was a tough decision between the 3.

I'd vote for Howden as he has been looking good, scored a load of points this year and increased his numbers from his draft year. All signs that he is a top prospect.

I'm not quite as sold on Dadonov as some people are but it will be interesting to see how he does with a full year in the NHL.

5) Howden
6) Dadonov
7) Grimaldi

I went with Howden because of his combination of size, speed and skill. I think that even if he doesnt become a 2nd line forward, you know he'll at least be an elite 3rd liner. This actually came down to Shore and Howden for me but I'm thinking that Howden has the slighter higher upside and less of a bust chance.

Add Jenks to the next poll too.

Not trying to pick on words or anything, but can you explain what you mean? To me, the word elite fits on 1st line, 1st d-pair and in goal.
Who else in this league is an elite 3rd liner?

I went with howden on this one, for me he is the obvious choice here... after this one though, it will get tough.
I like dadonov, but I dont know how good he will be now that we actually have a proper line up in florida. will he still be good enough to play in the top6? He aint suited for bottom6, so thats what makes it hard.

I think Shore, Petrovic and grimaldi will be the next 3 I vote for. Then comes Dadonov.

Add The Brick for the next poll

Wording might not be the best but the idea is there (elite to me means better than almost all other players at that spot). The first guy that comes to my mind that fits that is Tomas Holmstrom (I'm not suggesting that Howden & Holmstrom compare either). Another couple examples could be guys like Stempniak or Brouwer (at least he was in Chicago). Basically someone who on any other team might be a 2nd liner but on ours could be a 3rd liner and usually they're better than most other 3rd liners in the league.

Had to go with Dadonov here. He has good upside and has been playing against stiffer competition than Shore and Howden.

For me its between Shore and Dadanov, and Im going with Dadanov. dbhislife said it very well, he is already what we hope Howden will become, and im skeptical as to if Howden will be a genuine 2nd liner. Also, I just rate Shore a bit higher than Howden...

Good to see Dadanov made a bit of a comback on this poll, but too little too late it would appear
