Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz - I'll be cheering for Tito, but he's in tough here. If Rashad comes out rusty then Tito could steal a round, but I don't see him coming up with the W. The good news for Tito is that I pick every one of his fights wrong. Rashad via decision.

Vitor Belfort vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama - Again, would love to be wrong on this one. It seems like Akiyama is content to stand and bang and take his FOTN bonus, which will get him in trouble vs Belfort. Belfort via decision.

Dennis Hallman
vs. Brian Ebersole -Hallman has looked great lately. I like him to get a finish here and a submission of the night as well. Hallman, sub, round 2.

Middleweight bout: Jorge Rivera vs. Costantinos Philippou -Rivera brings little to the table at this stage, and is close to retirement. Philippou with the minor surprise. TKO, Round 1.

Rory MacDonald vs. Mike Pyle - Not really sure how this fight will play out, but I favor MacDonald in most aspects. Decision.

Matt Hamill vs. Alexander Gustafsson - Coming out party for the Swede here, as he batters Hamill for 3 rounds. Decision.

Chad Mendes vs. Rani Yahya
Ivan Menjivar vs. Nick Pace
Johny Hendricks vs. Mike Pierce
Mike Brown vs. Nam Phan
Rafael Natal vs. Paul Bradley

I think this card will go down as a lacklustre, decision-filled one. Some good steps forward for younger guys like MacDonald, Gustafsson, Phillopou, Mendes, and Mike Pierce.

Couple that with the fact Tito manhandled Rashad the first 2 rounds in their first fight and Rashads notoriously suspect chin and this could be a close fight.

Considering he took no damage and Lyoto wasnt given enough time to train and was asked to move his camp to the states im not shocked Tito took the fight.

I'm a little surprised at the number of people picking Tito here. Is that mainly because of the long layoff for Rashad? Because aside from that I'd say at this point Rashad is the better wrestler with the better standup, so aside from ring rust I just don't see how Tito takes this one.

Because Tito must win. He got me into the sport in the first place, therefore I can't bring myself to pick against him.

May be a bit of wishful thinking.. I give the edge to Rashad but I think it'll be close.. I don't dislike Rashad, I just really like Tito and it'd be a hell of a lot more entertaining to see Tito win. After all, we're not betting money here.

Tito is fooling himself if he thinks he can stand for a prolonged period of time with Rashad. If he does, he'll lose the fight. Tito needs to come out and push the pace early, don't let Rashad get comfortable in the octagon. I think the best plan for Tito is to use some aggressive striking early to set up a takedown and work the GnP. Rashad is the more talented and well-rounded fighter, but the long layoff could be a factor if Tito takes advantage of it. On the flip side, Rashad could very well employ a similar strategy that might catch Tito off guard. However, he might want to establish some timing in the octagon to get comfortable.

I like both fighters, but Tito is one of my favorites of all time. I'd prefer if he won, but I think Rashad has the upper hand.

I'm picking Tito because I hate Rashad. That simple.

I'm not sure if anyone's seen a pic or video of Evans training recently but the guy is in the best shape of his life. I'm talking noticeably. I hate to make accusations, so I'll simply say for a guy at his age who's been training this long to put on muscle mass and also get leaner, coincidentally when he's had a 15-month layoff and was recovering from an injury that probably would've allowed him to be prescribed something which aids recovery, well...

I agree.

However, have you seen Tito Ortiz? I'm sure both guys are bending rules and living in shades of grey.

Sure. I didn't mean to imply Evans was doing something wrong as I think this type of thing (assuming he even was doing it) is quite common. I'm sure it could've sounded like I was criticizing the guy, but I'm the first person who supports giving yourself every allowable edge possible. I'm curious to see if/how it translates in the ring.
