Makes no sense for LA, but they are not awake yet

We traded Simmonds in part because of the emergence of Clifford. No dice from LA.

You can have Fraser for futures tho.

Waayyyy not enough for Klifford alone. One of my favorite bottom 6 players in he league, I watched 6-7 games when I was in L.A in december and I think Klifford got a scrap in every one of them

That's not enough for Clifford alone.

This exactly. Clifford basically took the role of Simmonds (perhaps a bit less offensive potential).

Other than Clune, who has yet to show he belongs in the NHL, we dont have anyone else playing the agitator/aggressor role well.

It would take overpayment to get Clifford from us at this point

The proposal clearly doesn't work. But you guys were saying the same about Simmonds a few month ago. Things change.

A few months ago we had both Simmonds and Clifford.
Now we have only Clifford and his value is bigger today.

Wouldn't do it if I was L.A. Cifford is going to be a key piece to the team this year and years to come.

I think many Kings were saying that he would only go as part of a package for a very good player, because he's more valuable to the Kings than to other teams. Sure, a few people clung onto him irrationally (sort of like the one you're quoting), but the overall premise was that we weren't going to trade him for quantity.

You're right that things change, but the Kings have virtually no need to trade Clifford, now or in the near future.

We were saying the same thing about Simmonds not too long ago. Maybe we'll trade in for the new model in a couple years again?

Either way, Clifford isn't expendable at the moment

when will these proposals of Palushaj, Weber, and Spacek stop?

like seriously know one will take anyone of those guys unless you get someone of equal skill level back.

I would say Palushaj is the most "skilled" player in this deal, and the only one with top 6 upside. We put him in proposals because we have an excess of "skill" prospects, and a lack of quality grit ones.

As you can tell the red dog (cliffy) is a huge fan favourite in La so you would have to over pay to get him. even then unless its a huge overpay i doubt la trades him Hes the only winger with alot of grit to him .

A guy like Richards was available. Not exactly comparable with Palushaj, Enqvist and a pick.

Now if something big is offered again, than Clifford might be gone too.

Indeed things change.

...And also considering the return (ie Richards), a bit hard to say no, looking at this package easy 'no'...and no I'm not saying simmer holds the same value as Richards
