He should do what he used to do as a player when someone would wind up to blast a big slapper and shut his eyes...

Damn, I was expecting Garth to announce that he signed Doughty to an offer sheet.

Maybe not that but I was expecting something..."4 years ago we decided to go with a full rebuild...That time is up and we are here to win so it is my pleasure to anounce that we have signed/traded for_______"

No but they need to stop shoving it down our throats every 8 seconds with the same exact ads. If you are watching a game like this you are already voting yes

Any Rangers live in Nassau County?

Wonder if they could get a Ranger to do an ad, since a bunch of them said they want to see a new arena.

its probaly either that or blank space- I doubt a ton of companies were lining up to pay for ad space on an online Islanders streaming of a summer prospect game... might as well fill it with something

That would be a much more powerful ad than Gillies

Summary of Blue/White game....

  • Brock Nelson - Best player on the ice. Beyond his hands, his hockey sense is really really good. I absolutely see a future NHL player here.
  • Ryan Strome - Future impact player in the NHL. Has talent significantly above almost everyone else on the ice. Niederreiter - Honest disappointed with his game. Looked like he was giving 50% effort. After an early chance, did basically nothing.
  • Anders Lee - You can see the upside. Good effort, great hockey sense. Really like his game.
  • Casey Cizikas - Really gave good effort for a game that meant less than nothing. Smart player.
  • Kabanov - Insane move on his penalty shot, but other than that so disappointing. Just not strong on the puck at all and just looked like he was loafing it. For a guy who needs to put in more effort than anyone else, unacceptable.
  • Anders Nilsson - Didn't see much that shows his potential and gave up 3 goals...However I guess if you're going to give them up why not to Strome, Nino, & Kabanov.
  • DeHaan - You can see the talent. Definitely stood out as someone who looked like he belonged in a different game. I was blown away the whole time, but you can see his mind works at a different level.
  • Rakhshani - Definitely looks like a player. Looks confident. Should be a point leader for the Sound Tigers this season. Impressed.
  • Aaron Ness - Short for sure, but wasn't as dramatic as I thought. Has some game. Very nice goal.
  • Danny Linell - Did not take this scrimmage for-granted at all. Has some nice plays and great effort.
  • Sundstrom - There is some talent here. Liked his game. Will be interesting to watch his development.
  • Marc Katic - In his early play he looked confident - Like a vet almost. Then started to make some bonehead plays. I still think he can play in the NHL.

Everyone else was either invisible or not noteworthy enough to comment on.

Maybe Trevor Gillies? "Vote yes or you'll have to drop the gloves with me!"

Rakhshani's line was clearly the most routine.

Lee and Nelson looked good together.

I felt Pedan showed some real skill and intelligent play.

This high school kid Lidell did some real good things! Real good... Looked very confident for a guy who hasn't even started his NCAA career yet.

Theoret and Persson showed some good muscle.

Ya I like that one. The Gillies ad and the concert ad are both awful. The concert ad looks like a 12 year old made it.

a Rangers player doing one of these ads is a great idea.

Get Graves, Leetch & Messier to do it.
