Draft Rules The draft will consist of 23 rounds. The draft will be held in a snake format. Teams will have 1 hour to make their picks. The draft clock will freeze between 12 AM and 9 AM EST To avoid any inevitable slowdowns it is HIGHLY recommended that you send in a list. Should you miss your time slot and there is no list present you will be allowed to make up your pick at the end of the round whenever you get a chance.

Trades Trading of draft picks are allowed. It is recommended that exchange the same number of picks, i.e. 2 picks for 2 picks or 3 picks for 3 picks. However this isn't necessary as long as you maintain at least 20 picks at all times to fill up a complete roster. ALL trades must be sent in to a commissioner and be accepted before being allowed to post the trade. Failure to send in a trade before posting it will result in a veto.

Miscellaneous Information The salary cap ceiling will be $89.5 million. Teams may exceed the salary cap ceiling by no more than 10% during the drafting process, but must be cap compliant prior to the start of the season. Please exclude any bonus cushions when putting together your rosters. Just focus on the cap hit. You will have control over your teams' real life minor league farm system. Any player that has played at least 1 NHL game is available in the Fantasy Draft. After the Fantasy Draft, and NHL Entry Draft will be held by selecting from this years NHL Entry Prospect Pool (Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Adam Larsson, etc.) Use Capgeek for all salary cap information. We will be using http://www.pickuphockey.com to help determine standings and a winner at the end of the season. The point system is listed below. Should you want to sign someone who you drafted, or who after the draft is still a free agent that you want to acquire, you will message me to work out the terms of a contract.

I was really hoping for a maximum of 14 teams, and was really striving for 12. But I'm not going to add some random people just to get to the amount of teams I'd want.

We have 10 people or so signed up now so if worse comes to worse I'll leave it at 10.

I'm just waiting for chezz and CP to post their teams and then that will give us 10.

I have Bruno Mars waiting in the wings, and I am trying to find/decide if I should add/get one more person to bump it up to a 12 team league.

I think I will max out at 12 this year, and should this game miraculously continue we can always expand next offseason with an expansion draft of some sort.
