Favorite Save: Cujo on Nieuwendyk on Game 7 of the 1997 Edm/Dal series. It should have been over but that was an incredible. Honourable mention to Khabibulin on Leopold this year - that was just great!

Favorite Goal: Esa Tikkanen's goal in game 7 to eliminate Calgary in OT in 1991. It doesn't get much better than that.

Favorite Hit: Bergeron on Morrow in 2003.

Favorite Fight: Laraque vs....anyone.

Favorite Game: Tie between winning the Cup at home for the 4th time in 1988, or game 3 in Edmonton for the 1997 or 2003 David vs. Goliath series.

Favorite Playoff Series: Edmonton/Calgary 1991. For a series in the first round, it was like a Stanley Cup Finals.

Favorite Rivalry: BoA. Remember Flamers, it's still 5-1.

Favorite Announcer Call: I like the Sabres announcer - he scoooooooooooooorrreeeeeeees!!!!!

Favorite Save: Mike Vernon against Vancouver in '89 Game 7 OT (forget who shot it). Hasek against Lindros in the Olympic shootout. Mike Richter (all of them) against Canada in the '96 World Cup.

Favorite Goal: JJ Daigneault in Game 6 of the '87 Philly vs Edmonton Finals. Nothing has come close since for me. Distant second is Forsberg's goal against Corey Hirsch in the Olympics.

Favorite Hit: That one Stevens laid on Lindros was a doozy!

Favorite Fight: Off of the top of my head, Brashear vs Ray last year. Owned!

Favorite Game: Game 6 in '87 Philly vs Edmonton. Also, the multiple overtime playoff game where Primeau finally scored against Pittsburgh is up there.

Favorite Playoff Series: Philly vs New Jersey last year. It was nice to get that monkey off of our backs.

Favorite Rivalry: Philly/New Jersey.

Favorite Announcer Call: '80 Al Michaels, "Do you believe in miracles? YES!"

It was Game 4 of the 1993 1st round, vs. Boston. The game ended 6-5, 4:48 into overtime, eliminating the Bruins.

It was the first time the Sabres advanced past the first round in 10 years.

It was also the first time Buffalo defeated Boston in a playoff series. The Bruins had eliminated the Sabres 5 times in the past 11 years.

Favorite Save: Can't think of a specific one.

Favorite Goal: Paul Henderson, a certain goal in 1972.

Favorite Hit: Martin Straka on Scott Stevens in the playoffs a few years back (can still see the look of surprise on Steven's face as he looked up to see #82 skating back up ice).

Favorite Fight: Oliwa/McCarthy a few years back...it was actually the little bye bye wave Oliwa gave McCarthy as the latter was being escorted from the ice...classic!

Favorite Game: New Years Eve 1975: Habs vs The Russians

Favorite Playoff Series: Montreal-Boston 1971...one of the biggest upsets ever.

Favorite Rivalry: Montreal-Boston

Favorite Announcer Call: Mike Lange, various (i.e. get in the fast lane grandma, the bingo game is ready to roll)

Favorite Save: Giguere on Modano in the '03 playoffs. The look on ol' Horse Face was priceless.

Favorite Goal: Oh, so many: Lafleur tying it in Game Seven in '79, Bob Bourne's end-to-end rush against the Rangers in '83, Messier stripping Nystrom (I think) and turning Potvin inside out in '84, Lanny in '89.

Favorite Hit: Stevens on Lindros, easily.

Favorite Game: '87 Canada Cup championship game. Just an awesome display of hockey.

Favorite Series: 1971, Boston vs. Montreal, first round. A team of old-timers and kids facing down the most potent offensive club of all-time. And 1986, when Calgary slew the Oiler giant.

Favorite Rivalry:Edmonton-Calgary in the mid-80's. Intense as anything I've ever seen.

Okay, these'll all be homer picks I'm sure.

Favorite Save: Every single save that Roy made in the Finals versus the Devils in 2001. He was better than Keanu Reeves in the Matrix.

Favorite Goal: McCarty on Hextall in game four of the 97 SCF. He faked both Ninnima and Hextall out of there jocks.

Favorite Hit/ Favorite Fight: Can Shanahan's diving tackle on Roy on 3/26/1997 count for both?

Favorite Game: Wings/Lanche 3/26/1997. That's the game that lit up the Wings and gave them the extra push to win back to back Cups. 6-5 OT win with about 200 PIMs. Plus, Claude Lemieux got his a** kicked (pretty much worth the price of admission there).

Favorite Playoff Series: Wings/Lanche 1997 Conference Finals

Favorite Rivalry: Uhh...look at the previous two answers.

Favorite Announcer Call: No one specific. I always liked Mickey Redmond for the Wings. He had lots of great terms like "BC 2 hander".

Favorite Fight: Messier (choking) Blake or Salo vs Cloutier (NYR)
[QUOTE]

Regardless of how he ends up in the opinion of hockey fans as a goalie, my image of Cloutier will always be of the refs pulling him past the Islanders' bench, without his jersey, as he stared down their whole team.

Favorite Save: Too many favorites to count but most recently the one where Nabokov stopped the shot that got deflected by his own teammate Alyn McCauley near the end of the period, mainly because after Nabokov gave him a mean stare down and then batted the puck down with his stick in anger, absolutely priceless!

Favorite Goal: Any of Gordie Howe's highlight goals where he switched Left-handed to Right-handed and vise versa to score.

Favorite Hit: Stevens hit on Lindros or Tucker hit on Kapanen, I never get bored watching those 2 hits over and over!

Favorite Fight: Any of Paul Laus' fights win or loss were great, Ilya Kovalchuk vs Mike Comrie, or the Mario Lemieux vs Brad Ference "fight". :lol

Favorite Game: Game 7 of the Panthers/Penguins series in 96

Favorite Playoff Series: Panthers/Flyers in 96

Favorite Rivalry: Panthers/Lightning or Wings/Avs

Favorite Announcer Call: Al Micheals' immortal "Do you believe in Miracles" call.

Favorite Save: As a diehard Canuck fan, I'll go with McLean on Reichel Game 7 1994. The single biggest play in Canuck history.
Favorite Goal: Can I count international? If I can, then I'd say Lemieux vs. the Russians in 1987. Runner-up to John Slaney for his goal vs. the Russians at the 1991 World Juniors. As far as NHL goals, I'll take Greg Adams series-winner vs. Toronto in 1994, for sentimental reasons instead of sheer brilliance.
Favorite Hit: There's about a dozen classic Scott Stevens hits. Ron Francis, Barry Pederson, Shane Willis, Eric Lindros. All just victims of the greatest hitter of the past 25 years.
Favorite fight: Shawn Antoski vs. Turner Stevenson (I think) from a game between Philly and Montreal in 1995. Close runner-up: Coxe vs. Probert so many years ago.
Favorite game: Canucks vs. Rangers, Game 6, 1994.
Favorite playoff series: Canucks vs. Flames in 1994. Close runner-up to any Canuck vs. Flames series and Edmonton vs. Dallas in 1997.
Favorite rivalry: Toronto vs. Montreal. I'm a sucker for tradition.
Favorite announcer call: Jim Robson's call of Gretzky's 802 goal. Close runner-up to Robson's call of Greg Adams series-winning goal against Toronto in 1994, and Foster Hewitt's call of Henderson's goal in 1972.

Favorite Save: Jose Theodore on Joe Thornton Game 6 of round one in the 02' playoffs I believe, anyway it was the game the habs eliminated them that year and I was there, I had no idea what happened when he made the save it looked like a sure goal and i just put my head down in disbelief and when I looked back up the play was still going on, then I saw the save on the jumbo tron, unreal.

Favorite Goal: Henderson's 72' summit series goal.

Favorite Hit: Stevens on Lindros and pretty much every other huge open ice scott stevens check.

Favorite Fight: Just this past season Craig Rivet and Bryan Marchment had a dandy one.

Favorite Game: Habs eliminating Bruins in game 7 this past playoffs after being down 3-1 in the series.

Favorite Playoff Series: Habs vs. La 93'

Favorite Rivalry: Leafs-Habs, Wings/Avs

Favorite Announcer Call: Foster Hewitt's call of Henderson's goal in 1972, wasn't alive for it but i sure as hell heard it about a million times.

Pretty much all habs stuff i know but i follow them the most so there great moments just stick out in my mind the most.

Favourite Save: Tommy Salo's glove save on Jere Lehtinen in Game 3 in the 2003 playoffs right after Dvorak scored to put the Oil up 3-2, and Cujo on Nieuwendyk in overtime of Game 7 in the 1997 playoffs right before Marchant scored the winning goal.

Favourite Goal: Radek Dvoraks goal in game 3 in the 2003 playoffs when he deked 3 Dallas players to score the go ahead goal.

Favourite Hit: Stevens on Lindros and Marc-Andre Bergeron on Brendan Morrow last year.

Favourite Fight: Ty Conklin against Pasi Nurminen, and Mike Bishai fighting someone form the Atlanta bench. I was there and it was one of the funniest things I have seen at a game.

Favourite Game: Game 7 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals in 1997 when Todd Marchant scored the series winning goal in overtime.

Favourite Playoff Series: Oilers vs. Stars 1997

Favourite Rivalry: Oilers/Stars, Oilers/Flames

Favourite Announcer Call: Don't have one yet.
