We are going to finish first because of having the #1 PP in the league by a wide margin.

Too be honest, may get burned for this, but its my feelings. I honestly believe the NYR are no better than this year, even though they added Richards. I still see them fighting for a playoff spot at the end of the year.

I usually say between 6-10, this year I am slightly more optimistic and will go with between 5-9.

We are a good 2nd tier team.

I think people should be careful being so optimistic with our PP this year. I think losing Muller will hurt us more than people realize.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Muller ran the PK, while Jarvis and then Pearn ran the PP.

Last few years Habs making the playoffs was my hope this year top four is what I expect. Healthy, we're better than we have been for a long time.

Roloson/Garon, Reimer/Monster and 39 year old Brodeur over Pavelec/Mason? I think the young Jets will have a tough year, but I also think they'll be OK in goal.

Pople keep on forgetting that markov needs a LH shot at the right point to do good.. i hope yemelin can be that shot.. I think trying to put markov with PK might hurt us on the PP and i see us regressing until JM finds out what every other habs coach found out about markov on pp.. he can't play right and needs to be able to have an option of feeding 2 LH shots on the right or go to the net..

I can see our PP finish first if PK plays with Weber and Markov with Yemelin providing he has a good quick heavy precise one timer

With Crosby and Malkin healthy Pittsburgh ends first in the conference. Miller is back to himself and with all the great singings they've done, Buffalo is owning the north eastern division just like they did 2 years ago. Like expected, Washington are a power house during the the regular season. Additions of Hamrlik and Vokoun will help them alot. Semin will get traded on March 1st. For Montreal, Bionic Markov manages to play 75 games to help the habs to ditch the 4th place in the east. Cammy finally got over Gionta being the Cpt and scores 40. NJ is being NJ once again. Boston covered with injuries still manages to finish in 6th place. Rask goals for 30 games... Thomas turned 50 years old. Richards sucks in NY but Tort, Staal and Lunqvist brings them in the playoffs. Florida is the surprise of this year. The whole new look of that team turns out to be a winning formula despite having bad goaltending. Breakout year for Kulikov. Jagr turns out to be a bigger locker room problem than Mike Richards putting the Flyers out the of the playoffs. MSL and Stamkos can't carry the team again. They run outta gas and they got no goalie. Toronto lol. Winnipeg are out of fuel by Xmas from all that travelling. They finish in 12th. Islanders look like they would be a dominant force in the AHL. Comes July first Tavares signs Montreal Canadiens offer sheet of 90M$ for 12 years. Skinner has once again a stellar year in Carolina but the rest of the team doesnt follow. Cam Ward has 1 of his worst years. Ottawa...

There's too many if's with the Habs this season. They could finish 1st if there were no injuries, if the young players continue to improve, if the injured players make great comebacks, if Price continue to shine while Budaj can play well in at least 15-20 games, if Gomez play better, if we can add another D, etc.

Meanwhile, Wsh, Bos, Pitt are still very solid. Phily despite losing Carter and Richards, got very talented players in return and will still be a force in the East with their solid D and a talented Goalie at last. TB proved us they were a great team during the playoffs. NJ had one of the best record during the second half of the season and would have made the playoffs if they didn't have such a bad start. Buffalo made some major good moves this offseason and I think they will surprise us all this season.

Rangers will be fighting for a playoffs spot and should not be far behind us. Winnipeg could surprise as well since it's their first year there and this change could energize the new Jets.

The remaining 5 teams don't stand a chance but Florida should be the best of the worsts.

Washington
Boston
Pittsburg
Phily
Tampa Bay
New Jersey
Buffalo
Montreal
--------------
NYRangers
Winnipeg
Florida
Carolina
Toronto
NYIslanders
Ottawa

Yes you are correct. The other poster was wrong. Muller coached the forwards and ran the PK while Pearn coached the D and ran the PP. Having said all that, both reported to Jacques Martin.
