fowler is defiantly underrated outside the duck bubble i mean at no point last season was he mentioned as being a calder candidate dispute his excellent play people merely judged him on his terrible +/- which was mainly caused by poor around defense during those bad losing streaks and also the fact that in a rookie year he was playing 22:07 min a night in all situation and against people top lines at times and he completely was unfazed and look liked a experienced player for the most part with 3 great gaming goals 6 PPG and a total of 40 pts second in all in rookie scoring for defense men and at the age of 18 4yr younger than most of the the other front runners
just wondering would we have a chance in getting malone from the lighting if he is available i think he a good fit for the ducks style of play and a caryle type player only thing is i dont know if we would have the money for him i think he on 4.5 mill and i dont know what we could trade for him since i think the ducks really do lack trade-able assets

He is just really overpaid for what he brings to the table. We don't need to get stuck with another Blake contract.
The only way Malone could he brought in was if selanne called it quits. Also I would think Murray would look for a better option than Malone if that was the case.

He's just overpaid for one more year. He will make 5.5 this year and after that it's 3 and under the rest of the way. I think he'd be a solid guy to add. Obviously Blake and someone else would have to go the other way though.
I think it would be pretty awesome to have Malone take Blake's spot. But yeah, this deal would require Blake going the other way or in a separate deal elsewhere. Don't think Lighting would be all that interested, especially since if Tampa decides to trade Malone, it would most likely be a salary dump.
If Selanne retires Id like to bring Malone in, because I feel like he would fit in well with Getzlaf and Perry, allowing us to move Bobby down and help our depth.
Malone-Getzlaf-Perry
Blake-Koivu-Ryan
not bad without Teemu. Obviously if Teemu comes back theres no chance we can afford him though.
can someone please tell me how much money we have to spend on FA's in relation to our internal budget not overall cap space because im just wondering if we have any shoot at getting any of the few reaming FA or if we gonna be too cheap again

Assuming it's the same as last season looks like we have 3.5m left in space.
