That is so bang on. Great point!!! If u dont think McCown is boss your not on his show. If u dont think he is always right, then your not allowed on his show. All his guests have to act like Bob McCown is their Idle. If in a middle of a sentence Bob cuts u off and u dont keep quiet and let him rant, your not allowed on his show. He butts heads with guys who dont back down, i.e. Doug Maclean. U could sense the tension between those 2. If u have an opinion in life, McCown does not like u .

1. Daren "I'm sensing a hair is out of place" Dreger

2. Steve "I just make it up as I go" Simmons

3. Glenn Healy

3 Jim "Homer" Hughson

4 Craig "sorry I'm only perfect" Simpson

5. Bob MacKenzie - I know, but he's fluttering dangerously around Dreger and the run-away ego complex

6. Nick Kypreos - I personally like Nick, but his lock-out patter is hard to take

7. Greg "big daddy par-boiled pablum" Wyshniski

8. Marc "I can't believe how great I am" Messier

9. NBA players with few exceptions

10 A-Rod

*Honourable Mention

Jeff Blair

A couple gems from Healey on PTS yesterday.

Thinks Steckel is our shut-down center. Picks him apart randomly, even on non-related topics. Subtle Jabs.

It was brought up that Reimer and Bernier are basically the same guy (in terms of being a proven netminder) and that there would be no point in acquiring the Kings goalie. Healey counters that argument by citing how good Bernier has looked in practices. Practices...

This man...

I don't think there's enough hate for James Cybulski. There's just something about the way he talks that annoys me to no end haha.

most of them.

Romanuk would top my list.

Cherry wouldn't be far behind.

Neither would Mcguire

Like come on bud. ***** UP!!!!!!!!!
what does I play junior A have to do with anything? just curious. nothing at all to do with the discussion or the rest of your post so did you think it would somehow impress? lol

I don't mind Bob for that reason. He doesn't pretend to know alot about hockey. It's a hockey town so he's forced to cover it. He's not afraid to ask tough questions during interviews. There's no smokescreens. I appreciate that honesty, even if he rubs me the wrong way much of the time.

Hands down, Michael Landsburg. The worst host of the worst sport show in Canada period. Not only in discussions the concept seem to be about the one who'll talk the most loudly but most of his one-on-one interviews are a circus, a joke.

Simmons
Berger
Dave Naylor (always hunts down the leafs, even back in our playoff days)
Healy
Millbury (his debate with Roenick was full of cheap shots and blind sided tactics)

Bob Mackowitz (sp?) - I still have no idea why hes hosting a sports radio show. Who is he and what did he do to make me trust his opinion? Hes made some ridiculous comments over the past couple years. This one that takes the cake for me (paraphrase). Was at last years Trade Deadline Day

Cybulski - I wouldnt move Kulemin for a late 1st. He scored 30 goals last season. Hes got fantastic potential.

Macko - Potential is overrated. Burke should have traded him for a draft pick.

MIKE WILNER ... a calculating homer who insults listeners who disagree with him and uses deceptive stats to make misleading arguments;
GLENN HEALY ... get the impression he made unintelligent teammates think he was smart by making sarcastic comments all the time, his game analysis is horrible, made his second (third?) career with NHLPA by posturing as pro-player, then as soon as he became a broadcaster again and started missing paycheques due to the lockout he threw the NHLPA under the bus, as phony as a $3 bill;
ROD BLACK ... note to Black: during a football game in the immediate aftermath of a flag, both team's players point at the other side's player as being guilty of the infraction, the inverse is true on a turnover, this is not news, it is certainly not worth telling us everytime there is a flag or a fumble which direction the players are pointing, how come virtually every other broadcaster on television has figured this out except you? similarly, watch your bloody monitor, he nevers knows whether there was a gain sufficient for a first down even though the viewer does because Black never watches his monitor while doing a game, and stop yelling all the time!;
DARREN DREGER this guy is a fraud, he brings no experience or analysis to the table he has simply made a career out of prostituting himself and reporting every leak some rich and wealthy power broker in the NHL gives him.
DAMIEN COX totally sold out to his Irish Catholic buddy Brian Burke (no offence - I am Irish Catholic), I've heard him prattle on about drinking with Burke, playing tennis with Burke and Burke rave about what a great writer Cox is for his Ovechkin book; and then Cox criticizes the Burke firing as if he is just another objective observer, his smug laughter at his own lame jokes on PTS is bizzarre as often nobody laughs with him.

Why is Macowitz on TSN radio? WHY ??

Listening to him talk about hockey makes me want to swing a sledge hammer and destroy things. I can not stand this guy. Macowitz is a know-it-all, arrogant jerk, who knows nothing about subjects he seems to ramble on about. Never hire a man with a PERM to do sports talk!!!! He gives u nothing when u listen to him, its all B.S.

Probably helped that his dad was in the radio business for years.

Most annoying of all-time is/was Howard Cosell, and no one else is even close. And yet he also revolutionized on-air sports broadcasting like no one else.

Today everyone is somewhat annoying.
