Seriously... me too. But it won't surprise me if that does happen.

I would be OK with it if it was a typical thing to wear jerseys for management and/or coaching. If you walk around with a Lombardi or Hextall jersey, then the Flyers thing makes sense. Otherwise, as far as players are concerned, you might as well wear an Oiler's jersey over a Philly jersey.

Just for fun, if we look at the players we have acquired who were former Flyers (on the current roster), you get:

Richards, Gagne, Williams.

Same for the Oilers.

Stoll, Greene, Penner, Fraser/Smyth.

Seems our team bleeds more Oil than Orange if we are going by the numbers.

Sure when you factor in management and coaching then we become the Flyers. But like I said before, no one wears Terry Murray or John Stevens jerseys to games, so everyone can just shut up and suck it. At the end of the day, there are much worse teams to emulate than the Flyers, so I'm going to take the whole 'Flyer's West' thing as a compliment. However I will have a few choice words for those I see wearing Flyer's jerseys to games. Namely that their sense of humor is inane and that they should be ashamed for mocking their team.

Fraser was a Flyers draft pick.

They are going to use he purple throw backs on a couple of nights throughout the year and I hope and think next season 12/13 they will go to those as the 3rds. Only reason I dont think they are going to the purple this season is to clear out so of the old home jerseys out

LOL, you're actually right, I do complain about Brown & Robitaille's weird influences on the . . but the difference between me and you is I don't : at everything I don't like.

But SRSLY, I'll never ignore anyone on HF, cause no matter how annoyed I am at someone, we all have 1 thing in common . . I just like taking shots/busting your balls cause we have differences of opinions . we've always have, s'all good.

I'll take the Flyers/Oilers roster any day. Its way better than Lombardi's first year or two here. We had Thornton, McCauley, Stuart and Preissing from the Sharks and Crawford and Cloutier from the Canucks. There are no words.

Or feel free to write to him and tell him that purple without gold makes the jersey look like a women's line of jerseys. Especially with the silver glitter.

I have a Schenn home jersey (purple not the shield) I wouldn't mind trading for a home Richards jersey. Of course, I could always just change the name plate.

You've gotta be the only person on the planet with a Zac Bierk jersey.

Holy crap! That is awesome! Not too keen on the purple in this instance (perhaps a dark green like a mallard?) but otherwise I love it.

I don't think the purple works for the Ducks, but this is evidence that NHL teams should just have a fan contest when it comes to new logos/uniforms.

Of course you would still have the same people at the top making bad decisions, so you would have to let the fans decide on the logo/uniform as well.

The closest I've ever seen a team come to doing that was the Wild. They had a logo/naming contest when it was first announced that Minny would be getting another franchise. I remember because my little brother submitted a couple of designs and names including a really neat fly-fishing themed jersey that had the piping around the shoulders appearing as fishing line with a hook where the ties in front of most jerseys are.
I also remember the winner of the contest's logo was pretty close to what ended up being the logo on the first Wild third jersey (the red one.)

Well seeing as no one has Purple in the league now that LA has done away with it I decided to go with it. I always liked purple and gold as a combo. Mallards are usually purple and green, I did a green version, didn't look as good in my opinion. Thanks for the compliments though guys, I have the persons name who is in charge of Media and marketing in ANA but I cant seem to find his contact info.

You found your picture on a fine art website. That's photoshopped. Don't be so gullible. Mallards aren't purple.

Look this one has both of our colors! Would probably explain the Mighty Ducks original color scheme eh?

Even if they werent Purple, where have you seen a Black Shark, A blue lion, an orange bobcat, a blue grizzly, a green buck, a blue buffalo, a yellow and white buffalo, a green dolphin, a blue ram, or a blue white and yellow sabretooth tiger? Exactly.
