I have a bad feeling (Blake)

I have a bad feeling that Lombardi & Robitaille will start trying to bring Rob Blake back 'into the fold' now that some time has passed.

I bet we'll see some kind of night honoring him this season. Then a management job next season.

In case any Kings people read the board, I want it known loud and clear that I have a long memory. DO NOT honor this dooshbag in any way. DO NOT hire him. You will give me an aneurysm from booing so hard.

I have no problem walking away completely. I will not spend a cent. I will not watch your games. I will not so much as click on your website.

I still hope Hickey will be allowed to wear #4 when he makes the team.

That is all.

This. Here's the first link that comes up when I type "Rob Blake NHL job" talking about his job in the NHL front office.

Exactly, my immediate reaction was "doesn't he already have some weird consultant job with the league that lets him surf all day and get paid? Why would he take a job with the Kings and maybe actually have to work? I mean this is Rob Blake we are talking about right?"

Ditto on that, the only way I'd be happy with Blake coming back to the Kings in any capacity would be special teams coach, and even then it wouldn't be preferable.

I loved blake the player, but he didn't help the Kings when it was clear we weren't going to make the playoffs. He could have sped up the rebuild and we would have brought him back to be honored. He will get honored in the future, just not anytime soon.

Doubtful, he played his best years and most memorable years in Colorado while he played the most years here thats really it... Plus both times he left he left a sour taste in peoples mouths so I don't see how the current management group would retire his number if they look at it. Blake is a very polarizing player to this group of fans and I don't see them being dumb enough to do it at any point in the near future.

Is he the best d-man this franchise has ever had? Probably
Is he the most loved? Not even close...
If it is ever retired I'm sure it will be a handful of years down the road once the wounds have healed.

I still remember his 1st time back to Staples with San Jose.

Instead of organ music and SAN JOSE SUCKS!!!

It was organ music and ROB BLAKE SUCKS!!!

Um yeah, after doing it twice in the 1st period, they didn't play that organ music the rest of the game. The heckling before the game and the signs were great as well.
