Goldeneye HD Remake for PS3/XBox

http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/07/20...railer?show=HD

Looks like it's no longer Nintendo exclusive.

Play on XBox Live and PSN Network and relive 1997.

So basically I will now have all 4 games that I grew up playing. Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Perfect Dark, and Goldeneye. Pretty sweet.

Nice. Hopefully there's Move support for the PS3 version.

I got the Wii bundle with the golden Classic controller.

It was fun. Definitely had a lot of the feel of the original.

I heard it was one of the Wii shooters that felt better playing with the pointer controls rather than the normal controller. Did you try both options?

To be honest, I only played it with the Classic Controller.

Since I mainly bought the game for N64 nostalgia reasons, I thought that it wouldn't have felt right playing it without an analog stick.

Kind of happy about this. The Goldeneye remake was pretty awesome, and now not only are we getting probably the best split screen game on the X360 now, but online Goldeneye... In HD.

Online Goldeneye. Check
HD. Check
Regular controller. Check
Not pathetic system like the Wii has for online? Sold.

Even if PSN goes down for a month after this games release I'd still rather have it on PS3 than the Wii. Something tells me with PSN/XBL it's going to be so much better.

The N64 controller was AWESOME for Goldeneye, dude.

Ahhh, maybe. I forgot it was re-released on the Wii.

The N64 controller is probably my favorite of all time

It wasn't a re-release.

It's a new game inspired by the N64 original.

True, but it's almost impossible if you try to use it now.

I really wish this would include the multiplayer levels from the N64 version. I spent so many hours on those.

Looks like it's a remake of the Wii "remake". The Wii version was a pretty good game, but doesn't hold a candle to the original 64 version.

The N64 had the worst controller this side of the Jaguar...

This is exciting, though. I haven't played GoldenEye in a good decade and I've had the itch for a good part of that time.

This abomination to mankind was the worst. Or the original Xbox behemoth

I don't know. I played it on the Wii with this:

You know that the Wii version didn't require you to use the Wiimote, right?

The DC controller was actually amazing. It didn't look pretty but it felt like a glove. Heck the 360 controller is partially based on it.

DC --> XBOX --> 360

The way I see it they just modified it from one to the next each way

Now Nintendo is making a controller with a screen on it as well.

The DC controller while gimmicky is very underrated.
