Hackett has the best puck handling skill out of every goalie ive seen this year. I personally believe aside from Herbst there arent any studs in goal. There is a very wide range of opinions on who stands where. One of the best goalie performances was Muzyka of the copper cliff redman vs marlboros. His compete level was outstanding. He showed all the tools.

Herbst is very good, I think his size makes him the most appealing. I wouldn't use a first round pick on any of these goalies. Too risky for that position.

Also, taking a goalie early as in such the first round may cause the goalie to feel pressured and make him feel like he'd really have to prove himself. Even though I live down here in Florida, I make my way up to see players like Herbst play and i think hes a true 1st rounder goalie although, it may just be me because im use to watching the florida tier 2 and tier 1 hockey.

With Visentin all but gone next year, I heard Niagara will be looking to pick up a goalie very early in the draft. They will have a late first so they may take a shot at one of the top goalies in the draft.

95 and some 94 born players can and will be chosen in this draft

I believe a player has to go thru the draft twice before he is a free agent

ie undrafted at 16 and 17 years old,now said player is a free agent

But its early
I noticed that you have here a goaler from the OEMHL Ottawa jr 67s this must be the Midget minor aaa team correct

Yes. Every goaltender that has been listed on there are from Midget Minor. I dont see much Midget Major unless Im asked to go see a specific player.

Its amaing how the list has changed over the year thou.

Look for the top three to be (In No Order)

Brent Moran in Ottawa,
Matt Mancinna in Sun County
Liam Herbst in Mississauga

The 'Best of the Next' include
Ed Minney - DC
Logan Holliday - Carolina
Cam Hackett - Vaughan
Tynan Lauziere - London

Minney and holliday have US options, which should see them fall.

In order for some of the 94's/95's to be selected their name must be on the central scouting list. If they are not I believe they cannot be selected but are able to attend OHL camps if invited. Some teams do like older players but prefer not to put them on the list so they can sign or invite them to camp after the draft

That was deffinetly the case with Ben Johnson last year. The Spits where negotiating with him, but didnt want to put him into the draft for fear that they would have 5-6 other teams out to look at him.

Supposedly Blackwood from Thunder Bay is getting some late interest. Had a good OHL Cup and is already 6'2" which I think has a few teams looking at him later.

Looks like the draft guide is out but Blackwood's name is not listed . Actually did not see any of the Thunder Bay Kings listed this year, not sure why.
