Sabres report 99% Season Ticket Renewal Rate

http://sabres.nhl.com/club/news.htm?...id=DL|BUF|home

Quote:
The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has achieved a record renewal rate of 99% for their 2011-12 season tickets. As a result, season ticket sales have been capped at 15,200 tickets for the 2011-12 season. That total includes 100 new season tickets, which have been sold to members of the Buffalo Sabres Blue & Gold club.

Due to this extraordinary rate of renewal, the supply of tickets for the upcoming season will be much more limited than years past. The demand was so great that the Sabres will for the first time in franchise history cap the number of Mini-Packs at 3,500 accounts.
I'm pretty sure with Pegula Power in full effect right now they could sell 25,000 effective season ticket packs without breaking a sweat.

Good to see them hit 99% renewal, although it means I still have 1800 people ahead of me on the list.

I've been hoping to move down to the 100's. I guess that list hasn't moved much yet either.

For the amt of $$ to be made on tickets, if I lost my job, I'd find SOME way to still keep them...

Without a doubt - as mentioned in one of the other threads, the "feel-good" atmosphere around Buffalo about the Sabres since Pegula took over is obviously triggering a fan-frenzy the likes of which existed right after the lockout.

Can someone confirm - didn't Pegula adjust ticket prices a little?

The prices were raised slightly, I believe 1 to 4 dollars depending on your seat.

Mini-pack account holder since 1999 despite no immediate family living in Buffalo

I'm that guy who has his extended family and friends go to games for him during the year so he can have playoff tickets

This is great news for the organization. Having a long waiting list for season tickets, though tough for the fans, is a good long-term sign for a sports team. Reminds me of the Steelers and Packers.

Where the hell do you find your minipack account holder # to renew??I just bought them as first time buyers, what is the difference if you renew or just buy it again?

Anything you've been mailed from the Sabres will have your acct# on it (generally in the upper-right corner). They usually reach out to minipack holders to re-up in late July / early August after STH's are pretty much done.

Given that they're capping the number available I'm guessing renewals will go by seniority.

I thought i heard somewhere they were going to release 200-300 extra seats for season tickets this year?

Going down only 60 spots on the list is pretty heart breaking :/

If I order a mini-pack, how do I know what seats I get? It just lets me pick level. Do you just get what you get?

I was able to purchase 8 game mini-pack, looks like first come first serve to me.

It may be a 1st come/first serve in terms of ordering it, but the seniority comes into play when you start to ask for specific seats (ex: shoot twice side, aisle seats)

every yr i make sure to put that into my note and every yr since i gained seniority ive gotten them

If you can't get tickets for the Sabres, pick up tickets for the Amerks. Let's help out our sister team!
