EHM...Franchise Edition...PC Game

For those of you who don't know it is a sim based game where you take control of the club and mangae evry aspect of it. It used to be a freeware game but know is being published by SI games but will be a far more detailed game.

Just thought I would let some people know, with a lockout looming this might bide some peoples time.

The demo should be available for download on Thursday on SI's website & you can find out more detailed info about it thier as well.

Ahh, EHM. Many a night was spent playing this a year or so ago...I shall have to look into this new version. It looks rather nice, though.

Basically

It's a move from football (soccer) for SI games, it's basically championship manager (name's changing to football manager incase you cared), which is a well known and very popular brand over in the UK. So...could be an idea to check out a demo of that or something, not sure when the demo of EHM will be out, full version's due for release 2nd of July.

Personally I cannot wait for this game.

Ah, good to see you North Americans calling football by its proper name.

CM is one of the most addictive games for the PC, Ive been playing it for about 10 years (with the odd break ) although that will stop as soon as EHM comes out.

If you like management games, you will love this game.

I'm going to trade him...or try to renegotiate his contract first.

I kept Burke, but I did expose him in the waiver draft. It seems that Burke has actually been better than Esche.

I also signed Nikita Korovkin and Ben Eager. I asked my coaches (all the current Flyer coaches mind you) what they thought of Eager and everyone said he was over-rater and would never sustain his spot in the lineup. 9 games, 3 points and he was very good in the pre season for me, and I have him wearing #39.

Korovkin is the 7th d-man on my team, he's wearing #15. He was good enough during my preseason that I let Eric Weinrich go in the waiver draft, and I still have Chris Therien and Eric Chouinard too. I guess they might want to check on those rosters before the Gold version because I have all those guys and all the picks we got for them, and there is an Eric Chouinard on the Wild and 2 Mathieu Brunelle's.

Esche sucks in my game, he got a 3 and a 4 so I traded him for a 2nd rounder then got Fleury for a 1st and Seidenberg.
I also traded Weinrich and picked up Mezei at the waiver draft.

Burke is great in my game. as is LeClair

I disciplined Robert Esche with an official warning after he went 4-5 with a .866 save percentage. He feels it was unwarrented.

Burke is 2-0 and has already replaced Esche in a game 3 times (it's only Nov. 8)

Gagne is getting ready to come back, Amonte next week, and Primeau is out for 2 months. Everyone has seperated shoulders. I got a bulletin that Marian Gaborik is out for 4 months with one.

.

The Penns are not going to be lowly much longer. They looked good at times last year, and will only improve with time. Plus, I heard they just signed one of the best played in Juniors. In 2 years or so they'll be another young team that knocks us out of the playoff. Heck, the Flyers could barely beat them this season

Maxime Talbot. He played in the WJC's. He looks to be a steal for them, I think he was an 8th round pick. We could have had him...

I just played the Penguins, LeClair scored the tying goal in the 3rd and Kkoltsov scored a shot time later to make it 3-2. Brashear (2nd of the game), Eager and Roenick twice all score within a 4:05 span. Roenick's goals were 10 seconds apart. Flyers win 6-3.

The menu/navigation in this game is putrid... To say I always feel confused when playing this game is an understatement... And before you think I'm a newbie, I've been playing EHM for like 3 years now and I'm a commissioner of my own league. It may just take some time to get used to, but at first play, I don't like this game much.

Markov isn't doing too well. He's -13, and got criticized by the media, so I defended him. He was -7 at the time.

Ben Eager was criticized too and I got a lot of praise from fans and Ed Snider for defending him.

Same with Niko Kapanen now.

San Jose appoints Bob Clarke General Manager!!!! :lol

"A former team General Manager has indicated that if he was still managing Flyers, Vladimir Malakhov would not be playing such an active role in the team."

"You have said that this lack of judgement is the reason why he is a former General Manager of the team."

Seems like the trade AI is as dumb as ever.

Too bad, I was hoping they might fix it.

It was only released yesterday.

There are still lots of bugs, colour clashes, rosters, player numbers, LeClair getting a point per game for me, but its only a beta. The release date is 2.7.04

The highlight for me was Poti being -7 in one game which was 8-3 to the Flyers. He was on the ice for every even strength goal against. :lol
