Sprint HTC EVO 4G

So today my phone broke and I was checking the Sprint website and $100 isn;t bad at all. Is the Evo 4G worth the $100?

If you don't have to sign a contract it looks pretty good. Otherwise I'd get the EVO3D for $200. Cheaper some places.

I like the my Evo. Root it and get the wireless tether. But beware the battery life isn't very good.

Unrooted here, but there was an official patch pushed out a week or so ago that improved my battery life quite a bit. I can easily make it through a whole day without charging and doing casual surfing / email checking / etc.

OP: Evo is still a great phone. If you're somewhat "meh" about spending another 100 bucks, I'd just do the original over the 3d version, though the 3d version does have a faster processor and the ability to take 3d pics is sort of neat.

You won't go wrong either way.

I love mine. I use JuiceDefender to help w/the battery consumption. Standby life went from like 14 hours to days.

To some people, the Evo 3D is worth it for the new features and specs, but to others it's not. Depends what you want out of it. The 4G is no slouch.

Also I wouldn't sign a contract for an EVO 4G tbh.

No. Not how I meant it. I know you follow this stuff way more than I do. Nice to know we agree. I was just having a little internet nerd fun

I love my evo but if $100 is the 2 yr contract price I wouldn't do it.
