how much is dobber's? and for that matter, are any of the others any good? i have never really thought about buying any of these before, but i'm considering it now.
The above statement doesn't apply to Dobber's, available today on http://www.dobberhockey.com/. It comes out early, but they update it all the way through the beginning of october. Best one out there imo. Get the prospect report too.

I've never purchased Dobber's before but you guys have sold me on it. I'm going to purchase it tonight.
I'll also purchase THN, The Forecaster and McKeen's when they all come out....as I always do. I will not be purchasing Hockey: The Magazine. Got it last year and it wasn't even worth the space it took up on my coffee table.
Got the Dobber magazine today. I didn't like that its just available online, but it looks good so far. Everything is well thought out and its very thorough - no statements made without explanation. If you buy pool magazines, you'd be remiss not getting this one.
I've got a fantasy keeper draft this Saturday and I really really want a hard copy. Makes the decision tough bc I know Dobber is easily the best, but only online.

No hard copies for a while other than Hockey The Magazine in some places and THN in some places, if your draft is this Saturday, I would pretty much be forced to print out Dobber.

It's a must, in my opinion, along with McKeens and Forecaster.

Don't purchase THN either, it's a rag.

Dobber costs $11.29 including tax, Dobber, Forecaster, McKeens are the three I always recommend.
To be honest, I don't really buy these mags for projections and rankings. I trust my own projections more than what they have to say.
I just like having one resource that gives me full stats for players over the last few years and maybe some rough lineups.
That's all I really need and I don't like having to use my laptop.
Same with me. I definitely move guys around based on what I hear in magazines - such as Dobber projecting a huge bounceback from Campbell in Florida, and many rave reviews of Jamie Benn, etc. But I've never gone 'by the book', especially someone elses book, on draft day.
How does it make any sense that we in Québec get the THN one in two langages a full week before the GTA and more than that for the RoC? It doesn't. That's crazy.
Theres actually worst than THN. Last year there was a pool magazine in Quebec called Pool Pro. Now that was terrible
I just saw it on the stand, glanced through it, left it there. If it was 5$ I might have picked it up but for 10$ I need more than glossy pictures and recaps from last year.

Some news to report on, Forecaster now available on Amazon and will be on newsstands August 15, with a special one of a kind app also coming soon for ITunes and Android.
