Glad he's signed.

It'll be interesting to see what Darcy does from here out to get them team under the cap.

Numbers?

Something around 3yrs for $1-1.2m per would be fine by me.

So now we get to sit around for three hours while TBN vets this story for accuracy, only to have the salary and cap hit released by another source?

I would be shocked if he got over 800K per season. Maybe if it's a 3 year deal or something it gets closer to 900K, but I'd think Enroth would want a shorter deal to prove his worth and then cash in.

At any rate, when it comes to giving out 2nd contracts, very few GMs can match Regier's record (with the only blemish being the Vanek fiasco). He usually does a great job keeping those numbers down.

You give them too much credit - the details will show up on TBN and WGR tonight, long after TSN and CapGeek identify the info.

I think the cap hit will be much lower - the term seems realistic but I expect something in the $900K cap range. Regier will likely have bargained a signing bonus and one-way deal into the mix to keep the cap hit low.

You're crazy. No way in hell he gets a 1.5 million cap hit. Then we'd have to dump more guys than the Usual Duo to fit under the cap and Enroth deserve anywhere near that. I'm guessing 2 years for 1.5 million total, 700k then 800k.

Doubt it. If that Swedish article is accurate, and he was only looking for $700k this year, I'd be shocked if the cap hit is over $750k on a two-year deal, or $800k on a three-year deal. Unless the Sabres really like negotiating against themselves.

Yeah, right after I posted I realized I was way too high but people quote and post too fast to even attempt a lame edit.

Oops, I meant $1.55M, not $1.75M.

Both years One-way.
