I find him to be a tough prospect to judge. I've never seen him play so I'm going off his stats and what I read. I wonder how much of his success if coming from his linemates (Toffoli and Prince (I believe)). He's played 4 years in the OHL and I believe he will and should play in the OHL again next year. He's started as a 15 year old, so he must of been highly thought off going into the OHL. Doesn't appear to have lived up to the expectations though. I'm not saying he is a bad player though.
The fact we will have one of Perhonen, Martindale, Blain and Davidson ranked after #15 is just ridiculous. We haven't had this good of prospects for a long time.

Good Size
Decent Stats
Good enough for #12
I think I like Martindale more than just about everyone. I seem to be the only person who's high on him at all. He's put up great numbers, but on top of that, every time I've watched him play, he's looked terrific. His numbers this year might be bumped up a little by his linemates, but he was a point-per-game player in his draft year too, and he didn't play with Prince until this year.
I don't see much difference between him and Peter Holland in Anaheim's system, and Holland would probably have been ranked a lot higher on this poll.

I have seen Martindale play a few times on tv and he is a hard guy to get a read on, very good of face-offs, average skater although he does a very good skill level. He just looks like he is not that interested may be just bored with the OHL and will turn it up a notch in the AHL.
If he had a good WJC he would of been dubbed our "Goalie of the Future" label. People put way too much emphasis in one tournament for the potential of a prospect. I agree that a good WJC should boost a player, but a bad should not be such a huge blow to their status.
Chorney is hella underrated. It's ridiculous that Davidson has almost as many votes as Chorney who has already proven that he can at least handle himself decently at the NHL level.
Also, Roy with only 2 votes is ridiculous. Yes, he had a brutal WJC and struggled a bit this year but he still has had a pretty decorated junior career and still has potential to make a good NHL career for himself, he's really young.
