MacKinnon vs Shea

If has been reported the Brandon Shea has rescinded his commitment to Boston College and to USNTDP and join the Wildcats.
Who'll have the biggest impact in the Q?

Danny Flynn described Shea as "a bigger marchand", "sheppard/ staal" type.

Big two way centre who is physical, and has offensive upside. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...K6jNzgbThK-usw

Mackinnon is a pure sniper, compared to stamkos and after watching him play i think he may have some mild growing pains this year but will have the bigger impact on his team.

not a scouts opinion, but i would love to see one weigh in.

I'm no scout but IF Mackinnon, Shea and Erne all report this may well end up being the best draft since Courtier and Gormley went 1-2 and they both ended up being NHL 1st rounders.
Lots to be excited about for the upcoming season

I think its great that the Q is doing everything that it can to bring more awareness to the US. The Q is a real option for New England players and that they can get an education as well afterwards. I heard as well that they are going to be doing camps and showcases in the US to generate more interest and knowledge into the Q as a league. Plus now that each team has to draft 2 US players it may help in the recruitment of players.

Worst case scenario for a kid coming from the USA to play in the Q is they don't get draft/make camp and they go to UNB, St. Mary's, or w/e and get a good education while playing for a top CIS team. I don't buy all the "NCAA route is better because it guarantees them an education" when most players dropout for the pros after 2 years or so.
