As a Finn, I hope so... but no one in Finland has really seen him play (aside from couple of crazy Pori residents, and you don't wanna listen to those...). Does he really have a chance of making it to the NHL? I've always thought that he comes back to Finland (Ässät) and becomes a decent SM-liiga player.

He had a pretty good season in his first season as a college player in the WCHA. He does have some promise to him. I see him similar to PMB(?).

He had a good start to the season, but really faded down the stretch. At best, I see a really poor man's PMB.

Haula's got 3 more years of college hockey ahead of him before a decision needs to be made. In terms of NHLers with a similar path(late round pick, 1 more year USHL then 4 years NCAA), Joe Pavelski's about the only name that comes to mind in recent history, and I'm sure there's alot of nobodies on that same list that amounted to nothing, but I'm not going to look them up to list them. The odds are certainly against him, but they always will be against 7th round picks. Much like Foucault in the 4th round of the same draft, its worth it to take some risks on kids with talent, and hope for the best. Especially with how starved our pool was at the time.

My vote goes to Matt Hackett. I think he has a real good NHL future ahead of him.

Zucker, easy choice. I'd rather see the next poll which should be a lot more interesting
