I will truly miss vinny. It was a privilege to see him play in a blue shirt. I wish him nothing but the absolute best in the future.

I liked Prospal but i'm glad we didnt sign him to that contract. He has a bad knee and likely wont stay healthy for a full season. Columbus had the ca

Sorry. My phone freaked out. Still wondering why I cant edit posts.

Columbus had the cap space so for them its a fairly low risk move with potential high reward. Hed be a great addition to play alongside Carter and Nash.

Too bad, but that cap hit wouldn't have worked for the Rangers. Now the forwards are set. Good luck in Columbus Vinny.

I'll miss his celebrations and enthusiasm. He may have gotten old and was breaking down but his attitude was certainly infectious and it energized the whole team. Good luck to Vinny.

Vinny was a warrior and fought through injuries and led us to the playoffs. Good luck Vaclav, hope you stay healthy again.

Good luck to Vinny! He was great for the Rangers these past two seasons, and from what it seems, a great teammate on top of that. Hope he does well with CBJ.

Too bad. I loved Vinny. Really wish him well.

We'd have been better off having Vinny, waiving Wolski and using the saved cap space for a 7th defenseman.

He's a great guy who obviously cares a great deal and puts forth 100 percent effort very game. It's time to move on from him but I wish him good luck in Columbus.

If conditions warrant, I could see him back for the playoff run. Big "if" but never say never.

Prospal is great I didn't expect him to come back, thought his knee was shot.

Glad he got a gig with Columbus I really like that team and like them even more now.

Hard to believe he couldn't have played a role for us, he was a true pro the last few years...very sad to see him go.

Knee looked fine when he returned...I remember him even taking a hit or two and a fall or two that looked like it would be it for that knee and it was OK. I won't be surprised if he plays 65-80 games next year...he didn't have any other rangers.

I would imagine he probably would've come back to the Rangers for a little less. I'm puzzled as to why they wouldn't want him back...regardless of how confident the staff is in Wolski, you don't just hand a player like that a top 6 spot with no competition

Prospal had two surgeries on his right knee in 10 months. December 2009 and October 2010. That is the issue with him. Everyone including Vinny were surprised he played last season.

Indeed.

He goes right up there with Marty Straka in terms of home run FA deals for the Rangers.

Both Czech, to boot.

$2.6M cap hit for Vinny. Kinda pricey, IMO, but it's definitely worth the risk for 1 season, especially on a team like Columbus that doesn't need to worry about the cap.
