This is a very important poll and I need a lot of participants! I just want to do this so we can get a clear consensus on the board (which will probably be YES but there are no guarantees)

Also, fans from other teams: do not vote NO just to rig the system.
I would appreciate it that for each vote, you state your reason.

Let's go Islanders!

I have voted yes as a non registered voter...

EDIT: Please stop with the "I'm voting no if we get Yashin" mashuguna
Yashin does not = for you vote no unless you have a fair reason relating to the vote
Yashin has no relation to the vote...

I'd vote yes as long as Yashin is not brought back...if they are inept enough to do that, I want them gone...

lmao ^ thats classic. You should be embarrassed. You should leave Nassau with the Isles cause youre obviously not that big of a fan to let the Isles go over a****ing signing..

lol

I voted No because it's an asinine poll.

Why have a poll that is open to people who don't live in the area or aren't registered to vote.

Seriously.. It's not the end of the world if we get yashin and trust me I completely understand the argument against it and I'm on your side I'd prefer to not have him back but to say your abandoning your team over a stupid signing, especially with what we've been thru the past I don't know 20 years, is pretty weak man.

As for this poll it's going to be and overwhelming yes, with a couple no's, although I'm not sure what this proves.

This is what I'm trying to prove:
As you know a poll came out today that had 51% vote no out of 619
However, 54% of the poll was 55 years or older, making it seem more like a rigged vote
In this case, I'm pretty sure most of us are under 55 years. And the young people are said to be the difference makers in this vote
So i wanna see how this poll turns out
The non register voters are just for kicks

Is there a poll on whether or not people should start polls? If not, will you make one?

if you want the islanders gone because of a signing...then you really dont care about this team at all...maybe you should just be a rangers fan because thats depressing

There was no reason to vote no for your excuse, for that has no relation with anything
This isn't even the real vote so I don't know why you care about selection bias at the moment. Let the pessimism go....

I think hes referencing the fact that this is pretty much a poll asking if you want to save the Islanders.... Asked in a hockey board thread full of rabid Islander fans

If that is the case well where else am I supposed to put it? On the Minnesota wild board? The NHL board? I can only get to the source closest to Nassau County: the Isles board.
My plan is this: I take the amount of registered voters on this board and combine it to the 619 who voted today. I add the yes and no votes respectively to each voting stance, including the undecided
So basically I do 619 x .51 + no votes on this poll
Then I do 619 x .36 + yes votes on this poll
Weird way of thinking about this but I will try it over each of the seven days this poll is open
