Help a Long Islander in need..

a friend of mine and long island native danny bobis went missing off the coast of indonesia around 48 hours ago. i know this is a hockey board (and as you can see i'm a rangers fan) but as part of the community it would mean a lot to me if people could take a minute out of their day to give positive thoughts to a member of our community. danny is a teacher at long beach high school, an active surfer, and plays drums in a band called cipher.

rescue efforts are limited in this remote part of indonesia where danny got lost, so the family is looking for donations to possibly help them in finding him. if interested, please paypal money to dannybobisfund@gmail.com and for up to the minute information check on here: http://www.facebook.com/DanielBobisInfo?sk=wall

I posted this in the Rangers thread also, but I'll quote it here as well.

Oh no this is terrible! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family....
This is terrifying in many ways, but the biggest reason for me is that two years ago, my friend went missing as well off the shores of North Carolina. And....three days later....he was found dead. It just brings back horrible memories someone has gone missing.
