Is he a doctor? Foot specialist?
I can't see an NHL'er going by "Dwight" -
nicknames please?
"Doc Helminen"...has a certain ring to it-1920s baseball?

Well there were other "Dwights" in the NHL already according to hockeydb.com
Dwight Bialowas - ATF, MNS
Dwight Carruthers - DET, PHI
Dwight Foster - BOS, COR, NJD, DET
Dwight Mathiasen - PIT
Dwight Schofield - DET, MON, STL, WAS, PIT, WIN
As for a nickname...how about "DH"?

A fine Oiler/US College poster named funkymoses had helminen for his avatar for a long time (don't know if he still does). Above it was the caption "mighty Dwight" which imo is a pretty good nickmame.

"Mighty Dwight?" Sounds awkard unless you add a 'Y'... "Mighty Dwighty." That's it!
