Oh.. Didn't see this happen. Good depth signing by Shero.

EDIT: He was on fire at 2007-08 in Chicago. 13+23(36) in 43 games.

Yeah I'm usually 'blah' on two-way depth signings but he might actually come in handy if there's an injury. I like it.

Certainly doesn't hurt to have a guy with that sort of pedigree as a veteran call-up from WBS.

Shero seems to pride himself on being able to call guys up or plop guys in if there is an injury and not miss a beat.

Good depth signing... if it wasn't two-way I'd be irate. This guy really isn't that good. I think he's pretty weak, too.

As a Wings fan, I can tell you that you won't enjoy this guy. He's lazy and generally awful. Maybe he'll score a shootout goal or two for you, but that's about all you should expect from him.

Together maybe him and KV will make sure the Baby Pens never lose in shootouts?

Yeah, he'll probably come in handy if someone goes down. He is not a DB player though. Not a good skater, not physical, not defensively aware.

He can play center and the point on the PP, too. Veteran scorer for WBS, and an experienced call-up in an emergency.

Great... love it. Low risk move that shores up depth.

Sure, why not. Will he have much impact? Probably not. Does it really matter at that price? Not really. I see this as Steve Sullivan insurance; they're not really the same kind of player, but at least in terms of impact on the PP Williams can replace some of that if Sullivan goes down.

Depth depth depth....never hurts having a guy that can score 15+ at the nhl level on your farm team.

He'll be one of the leading wb/s scorers for sure

Considering he's being brought in to be the 16th/17th forward I doubt anyone is expecting miracles from him.

What immediately popped into my mind when I heard this though is, "right handed powerplay threat." I wouldn't be quick to say he'll be in the minors just yet. All it takes is a little bit of chemistry.

I'm still very curious as to what Dumont is up to...

Thinking the same thing. He still has that shot. The other stuff is going away though.

I've always been a Dumont fan. He and Sullivan have also had chemistry. I like him because, if healthy, he can play all 3 lines, and be some real good scoring depth.

This guy is painfully slow. He does have good hands though. He's still a nice veteran to have around for call-ups.
