Quite the weekend and it's only going to get better. If the Giants and kick shat the Packers like they did and if SF can win like that I have to think anything can happen next week.
My team may be out, but I'm still just as eager to watch the playoffs.
Can't believe the Pack lost. Did not expect that. I'll forever be grateful to Eli for beating Brady and the Pats to ruin their perfect season in 08. I hope he can dash their hopes again this year.
Giants over the Niners in a romp in the NFC Championship. 27-9.
Patriots with a shellacking on the Ravens in the AFC Championship. 34-6.
No surprise to those who know their Football, but Elway and the Broncos have basically all but confirmed that Tebow will be given every opportunity to lead the Broncos heading into next season.
Some quotes;
Elway - "I want to be able to be involved with Tim (Tebow), give him my advice, what I see."
Elway - "I'm not gonna change his release. Release is natural. I believe the release is tied to your legs"
Elway - "timing and accuracy all tied together. We'll work with Tim on timing and depth of routes. Your feet work as your clock"
Elway on Tebow's quarterback style - "There are many different ways to skin a cat in this league."
I think I'll take Elway's word over armchair general managers and quarterbacks who, while probably only seeing Tebow play live a few times, think that the kid is bound to be nothing but a failure in this league.

That is kinda ironic considering that Elway was extremely skeptical about Tebow before. He was vocal about him publicly, despite being in management over him.

Yeah, all that said, they would be best to part ways with him sooner then later. The Franchise made its money, time to move on and win.
Tebow got his team to the playoffs and beat the steelers.
He deserves the starting job.
Yeah, I'm not so sure. It's not like he did it, even passing for 50%. That, and the got embarrassed against every good team that bothered to show up, Pittsburgh.

It doesn't matter when he was qb they won. He earned an opportunity to be the starter. Is it good for the franchise? Who knows

Good QB's don't grow on trees though. We saw Kyle Orton, Chad Henne, Travaris Jackson, Kevin Kolb, Curtis Painter, Blaine Gabbert, Matt Cassel, and Colt McCoy get thrown out on a weekly basis this year. That's a quarter of the league right there with QB problems. I don't think you can say Tebow is any worse than any of these guys. I don't think Tebow will have long term success in the NFL, but it's not like there's a better QB just waiting to take over at the moment. Tebow was pretty crappy in most of his starts, but he was full marks for beating Pittsburgh, so who knows.
Here's what I don't get: Why was the kick team having to hurry to get the play off? They had 40 seconds to get set up, yet Cundiff is scrambling to get positioned with single digits left on the play clock. WTF was going on for 30 seconds? Harbaugh still had one time out, why on earth not use it? Very, very strange. I knew he was going to shank it, because he was not ready to kick it. Sure enough...
So Pigpen and his NCAA-caliber defense manage to get into the big game. Has a defense this bad ever played in the Super Bowl?

They've had two pretty big games in the post season.
Its the first time they've been healthy all year and the media likes to over talk about how many yards they give up per game in the regular season. Bottom 4 of the league was still the Packers, Patriots, Saints, and Giants.
AHAHHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA, OMG this terrible for the 49ers, Kyle Williams should be embarrassed of himself, he probably coast the the 49ers the Super Bowl.
2007 rematch, can't wait.
I love both Manning and Brady but i'll be pulling for Brady.
