DE: Will Smith, Turk McBride, Junior Gallete
DT: Sean Rogers, Aubrayo Franklin
DT: Sedrick Ellis, TBD
DE: Cam Jordan, Alex Brown, Greg Romeus
PFF rated Franklin the 2nd best run stopping DT in the NFL last season. Rogers has been the best pass rushing DT in the NFL by them over the last 3 years. Saints have both.
This team got really hard to run on imo.

Once they signed Cofield and decided he was going to play NT (which I still think is a bad idea), any hope I had of Franklin coming to the Redskins died.
Good pickup for the Saints. That's a big interior there in New Orleans.

If you are offended by this post, it's probably because you're ugly.
The Seahawks are revamping their offence at a torrid pace. Sidney Rice WR, today Zach Miller TE, Robert Gallery on the O line to add to Okung LT first rounder last year and Carpenter RT in this years first round. A well rounded group of running backs. This offence is pretty darned good minus the fact that our QB position is a huge question mark (well that and the fact our Oline's average age is 12 lol). Half decent quarterback play and we won't be a pushover. And even if the QB fails it then becomes the last piece of the puzzle on offence going into next year. A very impressive turnaround.
And our D is getting bigger in a hurry too. Still have holes but our line looks bigger and a lot deeper than last year. Our db's look suspect but a lot of thumpers back there too. Who knows what kind of record they can put up but they sure look like a team on the rise. And a team that is going to be big and in your face on both sides of the ball.
Maybe the thing I love most about the NFL. You can almost totally rebuild a franchise in three years. We are in year two and have just 2 players left over 30. lol
By the way ds your insane if you think Vicks year was a fluke. He's got the Mvp in a cakewalk this year.
Meh.... Vick has been inconsistent his whole career, he caught a lot of defenses off guard last year, i bet that he regresses some this year with all the expectations now squarely on the Eagles. Aaron Rodgers for example is a far superior QB.
The Vick hype is a little insane.
Hard not to get excited about a young team that made the strides the Lions made last year...and I'm a 9er fan (shut up )
Fairley and Suh up the middle of that defense is the big ticket for me. Definitely the baddest duo in the league for my $
Lions are in a tough division to get out of, but I'm still looking forward to watching them this year. If they can keep the QB clean, I think they'll make some noise.
Results aside, they should be entertaining games every week...unlike my teams inevitable bufoonery
Good luck to you, but better luck to me. I need it.
In Harbaugh we trust.
The Lions look very good on paper but i've seen too many instances of "Paper Lions" in the past, i won't fall into the trap just yet, it's time to see results. However, I gotta say that they might very well be for real this time, gotta keep Staff healthy.
I don't know what the 49ers were thinking this offseason, they did virtually nothing to improve the team, it must be frustrating as a 49ers fans.
Vick never put more than one good season together in a row in Atlanta by my recollection...

Whadya' mean...we just got Carlos Rogers :/
It was frustrating about a decade ago...or something, I don't like to dwell. But now I think we're all just laughing right along with the rest of the league at this point.
Hard to believe we could go from: "YES, finally a coach who can develop talent", right back to: "o well, F it. We'll get a good pick next year".
I had high hopes that our offense would be better this year under Harbaugh (and still do if Gore's in the line-up), but we just refuse to keep our offensive line intact long enough for them to learn how to play together.
Losing Baas might not be the end of the world, but we still have to find a guard/center to fill the hole. At least we're done swapping out Tackles for the time being (fingers crossed). Just another un-needed set back in front of a QB that's already damaged goods. Good luck Smitty, you're gonna need it.
The losses on defense are just massive face palm all over the place. We brought in a new DC that runs a 3-4, and now I don't even know if we can run a 3-4 anymore without Franklin, and still no proven pass rushers.
Ricky Jean-Francois looked alright last year at NT, but not good enough to make me feel comfortable with starting a 2nd year player. Maybe Sopoaga slides into the middle?? I don't ****ing know man; this team is just goofy. NT's seem damn near impossible to come by nowadays, and we let the only good one we've had since we switched to 3-4 get away. Too many teams run 3-4 now. Maybe we can bring in a sumo wrestler ala "The Replacements". This is getting retarded, and retarded teams need retarded solutions.
The bright side: Nate Clements is gone. X-mas came early this year.
Maybe Santa could drop an anvil on the York's so we can finally get Uncle Eddie back upstairs. Come on Santa, I don't ask you for anything...

Lol, he's not even close to Manning, Brady or Rogers. Brees? Sure.
Vick may be grossly overrated. But Mike Vick carries with him the Mike Vick effect.
All the free agents want to come to Philly to play with the Eagles and Vick. True story. Watch the NFL analysts like Adam Schefter, they all say the same thing about the Michael Vick effect.
Screw all of you guys, I'm going to watch McNabb and eat my chunky soup and see what the Vikings do. I don't think we're playoff material right now. Especially since fattygate at LT. And letting Edwards go was a bad move. Rice I'm actually not that pissed about, I think he was partly a product of Brett Favre.

but until they actually WIN something, they're still just the Eagles...NFL's version of the Canucks...
I hope Vick can keep his swag and light it up again this year. One of my favourite players. Ochocinco probably my fave.
On the other hand Ray Lewis can ride his Old Spice Raven and gtfo. Harrison is a joke, guy has no respect for anything. Browns well I hate their colours.
Also the Bengals suck. Can't wait to see Green and Dalton though.
IMO, no. Don't get me wrong, both Vick and Brees are very good QB's, just not in those other guys class.
How the hell does Brees rate below Rodgers? Both have won a SB, so it's not like that argument is in play. Brees nearly broke the single-season passing yards record, and has been an elite QB for several years. Rodgers for only a couple. You'll have to elaborate on that one.
Now, I agree that Vick is nowhere near Manning, Brady, Brees, or Rodgers. He's a better runner, and...yup, that's it. When it comes to passing a football (you know, a QBs primary job) he's nowhere near any of them. This is like comparing Darian Durant to Anthony Calvillo and Ricky Ray.
Well, I'll weigh in on the QB debate. IMO, Brees, Rodgers, Brady, and Manning are the 4 elite guys, but I kind of want a 1a and 1b tier, because the consistency, winning, and/or longevity of Manning and Brady need to be recognized as a reason to be ahead of the 2 others. Brady has seen 4 superbowls, has 3 rings, a TD record, and lead an undefeated season team. His season last year was so underrated with a 36-4 td-interception ratio because people just expect that from him, and Manning has been good for so long that despite the lack of rings his longevity is a massive plus.
Rodgers and Brees have the tools to keep it up, but it's not hard to be elite for a decade. I know Brees deal with an injury last year, but his 20+ picks were a little concerning.

I don't think it was underrated. He got every single first place vote for the MVP if I'm not mistaken. In fact I read a column somewhere around week 13-14 that said something along the lines of "Tom Brady could take a knee the rest of the year and he'd still have the MVP locked up".
Anyways the amount of disrespect Vick gets in this thread is ridiculous. So racist.

Sorry, I should clarify, I don't think he got the attention he deserved from the average fan. Football fans can appreciate that type of season, even if he threw for less than 4,000 yards. Either way though, the guy has been good for so long it's to be expected.
I'm also a big Vick fan. If he stays healthy he has a chance to have a special year. I do think his interceptions will go up from last year, but I think he will throw more TDs to offset them.
