I don't think they'll know who Richards is.

It's a bobblehead night (Fernandomania!) so they may actually get a decent crowd... of 4,000

What's been up with Dodger attendance this year? I'm an Angels fan and used to about 40k a night at the Big A, but I've never seen Dodger attendance in the 20k's like this year.

Lame duck ownership, a fan almost beaten to death in the opening game, a bad team, bad economy, living in LA, those things tend to hurt attendance.

That is all true, do you think the Stow beating is keeping Dodger fans away?

Yeah.. well, some. I'm sure families are/were apprehensive to go after that whole thing went down. It seems like they put some security in place to prevent it from happening again but I think the ownership issues are what are driving the low attendance figures. People are actually boycotting them I believe.

It's one of many reasons why one wouldn't want to attend a Dodgers game. It's a hostile environment, especially when sitting in the cheap seats.

It is.

That and as a Dodger fan, I can't support McCourt as an owner. He has brought shame and disgrace to Dodgertown. I will go back to seeing games once that a-hole is gone.

It's certainly a factor, but the main reason Dodger Stadium is a ghost town and the Dodgers are a disgrace on the field is McCourt (or should I say the McCourts).

I can honestly say the Stow thing has kept me away as well. What's the point in dealing with everything, and a bad team. It was only a matter of time before something like that happened.

I've had enough close calls. I shouldn't even be thinking about danger or how to protect my family while attending a sporting event.

There are ********** at Staples, I know, but I don't worry about them walking to lot W.

I am the same way. I got rid of the season seats a few years ago but was still going to 25-30 games a year. I have been to one game this year that was more of a business meeting and I am not going back until the McCourts are gone. I still watch every night though.

Fernando Valenzuela bobblehead night.

Their attendance is inflated. Probably close to 40,000. But still good for this season.

They probably heard Mike Richards was in attendance and buying rounds of drinks for everyone at Dodger Stadium.
