Agree. I know it's uncool to pick the Captain for man-crush, but I'll give him props for seeming to take ownership of the team this summer. Hope he has a monster year.

Anti-crush - as with others, I don't cheer against any Jacket, but Dorsett is wearing thin on me.

(Can I include Filatov as my league-wide anti-crush?)

League-wide, I'm not bitter about Filatov at all, really. Zherdev, on the other hand, is apparently an opportunity for me to explore my creepy-stalker-vengeful-ex side.

The True Enemy is and continues to be anyone who plays for the Disney Goon Squad.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!

Crushes: Methot, Tyutin and Captain Terrific.

Can't stand: Mason and his crybaby attitude
.
Not a fan of: Umberger... haven't fallen under whatever spell he has put you all under! He has always rubbed me the wrong way, not sure exactly what it is about him.

Hope to love: Wiz (great pissy vibe we so desperately need)

Holding a grudge against until he proves otherwise: CARTER. His four day freeze/pout still gets under my skin.

Missing: Jake.

Putting Dorse down as an anti-crush is like kicking a puppy. I can see being frustrated with his play, but the kid is all heart. Save you angst for someone that truly deserves it. There are a few possible targets.

I'm psyched about RJ (as always), and have a good feeling about Vinny.

Now that Stralman's gone I don't dislike anyone on the team anymore.

I don't question Dorsett's heart, but I am a little suspicious about his brain. There were too many dumb penalties last year and his hockey sense in the offensive zone seemed to regress. I suspect that if he doesn't have a good start to the season, he may be spending a lot of time in the press box as the 13th forward. But, I'd love to be wrong and see him progress as a player this year.

All that said, I'm sure he's a great team-mate and I'd love to have a beer with him someday. But my frustration with his play, not his heart, is enough to qualify him as my anti-crush.

I don't think he dumb. The dumb penalty thing is way overblown. He took some dumb ones. Yes. Not uncommon on this team. I will take dumb over lazy. Hello juice and lazy hooking calls and not limited to juice either.

This regression thing is dumb. He had an expanded role on a poor team. Get over it and find another target to pick on. This team was filled with suck. The stink was impressive.

Please, can we wait to see him play in the NHL first??

I think you over estimate that percentage. The kid has a lot of hype n hope to overcome.

Which is a prescription for him to (under the right/wrong circumstances) become the next whipping boy.

I know I over estimate it, but oh well. I think he'll be a great player in time, thus why I am so excited for him and his future as a Jacket.

Totally agree! I love DD. If everyone had his drive and attitude we would be in the playoffs every year. I really think DD could put together a 10g 15a season this year..

Crushin' on : New guys, Clitter, Cam Atkinson

Hatin' on : Red Wings, Preds, Sammy P (like him, just expecting more)

I'm not at all fond of Dorsett, heart or no heart.

I kick puppies, too, so that may account for it.

Crush- Dekanich. The dude looks to be a just awesome guy on from what I read on Twitter, had the best save percentage in the A last year, has been developed slowly in a goalie deep organization, and if I were a betting man, which I am, I'd say that unless Mason plays anything short of spectacular, he'll soon be our backup.
And I'll chip in with Skraut on Howson.

Anti Crush- They've all been disposed of this off season.
