Blues re-sign Cajanek

Source: http://www.stlblues.com/news/0304/040805.html

According to NHLPA.com he's going to make $1M in 04-05 and the word is he's getting $1.1 in 05-06.

I think Petr Cajanek is a good player, but his salary makes Ruslan Fedotenko seem like a bargain. However, I see him with the chance to play a lot more for the Blues this season and maybe he will produce some numbers.

what's your point? Compared to John LeClair he's a friggen' steal....

How so? Fedotenko is not near the defensive player that Cajanek is and Cajanek only scored 13 less points than Fedotenko despite the fact that he had a horrible year offensively.

Solid signing. I attended four Blues games this past season and Cajanek worked his tail off every shift. Played the body well, decent speed. Could work on scoring, but fits the Blues style of play well and will likely do better this season.

Oh certainly, I just thought about the comparison between Fedotenko and Cajanek since they both signed on the same day. Its more a reflection on Fedotenko than Cajanek.
