Fraser again! Pretty passing there. 3-2 game.

I thought that play was broken up after the Noreau stick check, but it was some very nice and quick passing after that.

yeah great pass by Glennie there and a better finish by Fraser. I actually thought that the Rangers were the better team in this period vs. the Stars being better in the first but we find ourselves within 1 with a chance to win it.

Really the only two players that have impressed consistently throughout the game is Oleksiak and Dillon, who have both looked very good and calm on the back end whether they have the puck on their stick or not.

Dallas needs to come out firing and they'll take this game away from the Rangers.

Fraser is such a natural goal scorer, I really think he could make the NHL one day.

Oleksiak looks GREAT. Really impressed. Dillon looks solid and calm. Campbell looks shakey still.

Ugh, Dillon clears that perfectly and it gets up in #45's equipment and rides all the way to the goalmouth.

Coyle pisses me off. You don't cheat on offense, you cheat on defense. ALWAYS!

Also, Glennie is lost in our zone. That's worse than watching Richards try to play D.

Agh Campbell you're a rebound machine. He hasn't looked good tonight.

I think he's actually looked ok. He's bailed out Coyle and Crombeen at least 4 times that I've counted.

yeah I'm starting to come around on Campbell - in that I've always supported him before but every time I watch him he lets you down in a major way.

The Rangers have some amazing prospects - probably one of the top 3 systems in the league if you ask alot of people. You can really see the difference here between the Rangers and the Stars' team of contracted UFA ringers.

He also bounced that rebound right onto Yogan's stick.

Great puck movement by the Rangers on that PP, Borque is a great prospect to get that goal. Campbell almost had it.

But it's not a big game so it doesn't matter.

well it's tough on Campbell when he's been let down by pretty much everyone on the team in this game with a couple of exceptions (Oleksiak and Dillon).

still that's the 3rd pillow weak goal of the night. guy doesn't look anywhere near ready for the upcoming junior season much less the AHL.

in this game the red flags that ive seen with campbell continued to fly. He makes a lot of impressive saves but gets caught being over aggressive and giving up bad rebounds every time i see him. NYR clearly won the goaltending battle today. The other big thing today was that the rangers played much better as a team whereas Dallas players tried to do alot by themselves. Really didnt like how they played in the third when they got pretty deflated early on.

Coming away from that game, overall they were pretty bad, but a lot of those goals were flukey. Two standouts for me (And everyone I think) were Oleksiak and Dillon. Oleksiak looks so solid on both ends of the ice, and his offensive game is a lot better then people made it out to be. I think we got a stud.

Dillon really impressed me too. I have no idea how he wasn't drafted before. His game is so fluid, and he's so good at both ends of the ice. He's a leader and he's strong. I think he could make the team this year.

I think he has the talent and playing level for it, just not sure where he'd fit in.

Goligoski - Grossman
Daley - Robidas

Those are guaranteed, IMO. Then we have Pardy, Fistric, Souray, Dillon and Larsen who could all get tossed around on the third pairing. Daley might be in this group too if he doesn't have a strong start.

This would be ideal for me:

Goligoski - Grossman
Pardy/Souray - Robidas
Dillon/Larsen - Daley/Fistric

Not sure what you guys think though. This one's pretty tough, seeing as how many guys we have that can play up there. Just lacking one more true top 4 defenseman IMO.

I don't think there's a spot either and think Dillon would be great to have a full year in the AHL to refine everything and get used to the speed. Over developing never hurt anyone.

He'll definitely be the first Defensive D-man call up and get some time up here.

Maybe in the future we can just ride Bachman through the regular season and save Campbell for the games that actually matter.

Hopefully Tuesday's game is much better. Wasn't that many positives in the second or third periods.
