Forgot about Comeau, i'd like to keep him though, he's on the cusp of getting it i think
I totally agree with you about Comeau, the guy just keeps improving steadily every year. Knowing Garth no matter what happens I'm comfortable feeling that he won't get ripped off on whatever trade he chooses to make.
I get the feeling that Comeau is going to be traded for the coveted top 4 defenseman. It also gives a little more steam to the rumors about Yashin signing with the Isles to take his place on the 3rd line. Should be an interesting day and give us something to talk about at least until Monday.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but unless there are more trades made (ie. dealing someone like Bailey or Comeau), does adding Rolston mean Nino is headed back to Portland for one more year?
The only spot open for Nino in the top nine was on that third line, but I'm going to assume they didn't acquire Rolston (and his big salary) to play on the fourth line. So logic suggests that open spot is his.
Wonder what the conditional pick is (and hope we are getting it).
Meh move. Not a fan of Rolston anymore. Still a good shot though. Liked Hunter and was looking forward to see what he can do this year. Also Hunter would have been easier to bury on the 4th line (and still be somewhat effective). With Rolston you almost have to play him on the 3rd line (at minimum).
Just want to thank you guys for taking Rolston. He played amazing for us in the last half of the season and showed great determination. But the biggest asset he brings at this point is, from what we've heard, he is a great presence in the locker room. The players and coaching staff had nothing but great things to say about his character.
