Matthias Bäckman is born 1992 and no longer a junior next year, so probably not. Nermark, Christoffer Fish and Jonatan Nielsen have contacts with Linköping but are born 1993 and could very well show up. Overagers almost never play in Superelit, theres only some very rare exceptions (like Stefan Söder for Djurgården and some goalies) When a player is not a junior anymore but still signed for a SEL-team, they either play with the main team or get loaned out to a team in Allsvenskan (or some cases division 1).
Maybe it would be good if Superelit had more overagers, (like CHL and MHL) but right now it's basicly so that when a player is not a junior anymore he plays senior hockey somewhere.
thx, so I think overagers will not play forLinkoping at tourney. It is sad because Linkoping could make a great team. Last season CSKA jr team had D Sergeyev (´91) on roster at tourney but he played KHL this season not MHL (only 4 games). He just helped CSKA jr in Omsk, nothing more. I would like to see the same scenario with Linkoping and HIFK but I think it wont happen.

They could see it as a preseason tournament for the U20 team, in which case they will only ice players who are expected to play with the U20 team during the regular season. Or they could see it as a true champions tournament and send the best players possible in an attempt to win it.
However... this tournament is played at the same time as Linköping's SEL team play in the European Trophy... where they often play even unsigned juniors. So who knows what they will send to the junior tournament.

I'm a bit interested in Marcus Oscarsson(Luleå) aswell. -93 born and J20 captain, their first callup if I understand things right. Big guy, 6'2" & 194lbs. Had good production already last year and now 1+7 in first 4 games this year. Never played for any of the National teams. Any word on him?
Strange Sundqvist didn't play J20 last year. From the four games I've watched, him and Wallmark have been the best players on the team.

Do you mind describing what kind of game Sundqvist plays? he was described more of a big body with a nasty edge to his game, but he seems to have produced nicely so far this season. Untapped offensive potential? or just a fluke?
