If you guys listened to Eli last week you knew Plax was not in the plans..He went out of his way to say nothing and praise his current group of WR's..Giants will be fine,we always are..I feel Osi will be back.Thats fine by me if he gets 10+ sacks again..If they trade him we will get a nice return..Win Win..Bradshaw is getting bad advice..He is replaceable..Love him but his fumbles late in games kills us..Snelling,Ronnie Brown? Either is fine by me..We have lots of young talent ready to play major roles..If you draft well you dont need to go out and sign 10 FA's its never been the Giants way..True Giants Fans are not standing on the ledge.
We also need a tight end, but Boss I think may be the solution to that.
Giants are leaving a lot up to be won in camp. Smith won't be ready to play until around half way through the season, in my eyes, and thats if he is re-signed.
With Tuck, Kiwi, JPP at DE, I guess it is okay to let Osi go. But it is dissapointing nonetheles.
Reese is doing the same thing he has been doing with the LB situation. Throwing **** against the wall and hoping it sticks. He gathers a bunch of unknown quantities: Sintim, Goff, Herzlich, Boley, Adrian Tracy, Wilkinson, Dillard, Greg Jones, and hopes that out of that group 3 guys will emerge as the starters.
Sintim-Goff-Boley, will be to start and from there on who knows for sure.
Right now, the Gmen have 4 very capable CB's for a dime package, and Sash as an attacking safety, but its just about holding the opponent to 3rd and long when the only real run stoppers we have are Tuck and Joseph. Everyone else on our defensive line and linebacker crew are pass rushers except for Boley who is pass defense and Goff who is a mix.
I'd offer a two for Osi. Maybe Bryan Thomas as well? You guys have any interest in him?
Nope. The only way a 2nd makes sense is if it is a mediocre-to-bad team that will be a higher 2.
The Jets will offer a 1st and like it or they can go find someone else.
[edit] Though I might consider a 2nd and 3rd from the Jets rather than the 2nd and 4th I'd want from another team.

LOL, well, then I guess no Osi. Doubt we'd offer a first. He's going to be 30, coming off injury, and wants a ton of money. Too much for a one-dimensional player. I like Osi and he's a great pass rusher, but I'd pass if the price was a first.

Michael Lombardi
Yes confirmed from 2 NFL team sources, the Jets are willing to trade WR--Jerrico Cotchery-possiblely to free up cap space and sign other FAs
Cimini confirmed Lombardi's report a little later. Also, as a commenter on TJB noticed, Tanny made no reference to Cotch when discussing the passing game--but did mention Holmes, Plax and Keller. That may be over-analyzing things, but the Jets are apparently shopping him.
You must be listening to idiots on ESPN again. They have "no idea how to win anything" yet the Giants have pulled a Mets and collapsed two straight years, while the Eagles have been in the playoffs 9 of 11 years.
Right now they look like a solid choice to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl mainly because of how tough it is to repeat (GB) and the other teams that can contend (ATL, NO) have flaws too. Is that being "crowned" champs? Not really.
And this team has a completely different core than even two years ago. The days of McNabb, Westbrook, Trotter and Dawkins is over. Give the young kids a chance to prove themselves now.
And what the hell have the Eagles done in the playoffs? Please, great master, tell me! I would love to know what the ultra successful Eagles have done. How many Super Bowls have they won in those 9 of 11 years? I mean, they know how to win, according to you. And YOU know how to win since you're an Eagles fan, clearly! You certainly know what it takes to win!
Look around the landscape, kiddo. The Eagles are the official Pre-Season Super Bowl champs. Open your eyes. Anyone you listen to will tell you the same thing. I don't know how you can say it with a straight face that it's only the guys on ESPN. I know a metric ton of Eagles fans (I used to live in Philly) and they have all already crowned their team. The sports radio in Philly has already crowned their team. ESPN, Yahoo, etc. have all already crowned them.
You guys won. We might as well pack up.
The Eagles will be what they have been these last "9 of 11 years". A great regular season team that has no idea how to win the big game. Enjoy that success. If you can call it that.

Thanks. I like using Cotchery in the slot when we run a spread. He's always a reliable target.
