I wish I could go, but can't. So in the last few days I must have sent about 15 texts to friends, hoping to sell at face value. No luck. Then I get a call an hour ago from one of them. "I will take the tickets if still available" (me, unaware of Sid announcement). Sure you got 'em, I reply. Then he proceeds to tell me about Sid. Smart move, haha.
So. There is a game tonight. My dad was thinking of perhaps selling 3 tickets. They are for row 107 or 108 (20 rows from the ice) in the end where the Crosbys...er, Penguins... shoot twice. Face value is 87 per ticket ( it's a sign!).
Not really sure about moving the tix, but there might be some interest in them due to, well, you know...the Islanders being in town.
In Pittsburgh Feb. 26 (Bolts) and Feb. 27 (Canes). Was able to get needed tickets for the Canes game but still looking for 4 for the Bolts on Saturday at 1:00. Never used this before but wanted to try before going the Ebay or Stubhub route. Buying two together is fine. I realize it is a Saturday afternoon game and most will probably want to hang on to their tickets. Will hit the Souper Bowl as always before the game and probably some gambling at the Rivers. Thanks for the time.
I just want to pass along that he has sets he's looking to unload, if he hasn't already. I just purchased a pair from him for the Jan. 10th game against Ottawa. This is the second time I purchased from him so, I can vouch they're good seats on the side they shoot twice. Sec. 109, don't have them in front of me, forget the row/seats.
any chance anyone has a single for the flyers game on the 29th? id be willing to either buy the ticket or to trade a pair in the upper level for either the 1/31 game against toronto or the 2/15 game against anaheim for your single against the flyers... pm me if interested.
Looking for 4 tickets to the Tampa Bay game on 2/12.
One friend (unfortunately) is a Lightning fan, but the other three are Penguins fans. He's looking to pay between $80-100 per ticket. Told him it would be unlikely with Sid coming back but I'd at least mention it on a few sites to see if anybody wants to sell.
Question for you guys...the Flyers are in Pittsburgh on April 7. A few friends and I looking to make the trip (also may take in a Pirates game, just so happens they're playing the Phillies). Should I wait until after Christmas to buy tickets off of StubHub or something, wold they come down? Not sure how much is face value or what STH's pay.

That is fan appreciation night, which is a bit of a big deal (prizes to a row or two every ten minutes or so, jersey's off players back at end, etc). And Flyers is a big game. I would think prices would be higher closer to the game than now, but not sure. I would at least expect it to cost you more than a regular game though.

Jaded nailed it. Those are tough tickets to come by - giveaways, Flyers, regular season finale.
I would suggest watching ticket exchange. When I list my games there, I see some reasonable deals. Watch it and you might find a group of tix that aren't so overly inflated
Hey guys. I have been searching a little more intensely each day for a ticket to this upcoming game. The only NHL games I've ever been to have been low in demand match-ups vs. teams like the Coyotes, Islanders, etc. so I never had to search for tickets or pay over face value.
I know at this point I am going to have to pay well over face value to attend this game. I responded to some craigslist ads and have been seeing a lot of people asking for 150 or more for single 200-level seats. That is almost 3x face value.
What would be the best strategy for trying to get a ticket? Should I bite the bullet on a 150 dollar ticket, or do prices tend to drop closer to the day of the game?

check ebay. I bid and won 2 tickets for the same game in the 200 levels for a total of $190
I want to do something nice for my parents who have been the greatest parents ever. We are a hockey family and they have sacrificed so much for me. I want to buy two tickets for them to ANY game to say thank you. The problem is.. my parents are a little older so I'm just looking for lower bowl and not too far behind the net because they have trouble seeing.
If any STH has two and doesn't want to go to a week night game, PM me. I just want to do something nice for them as they have sacrificed so much of their freedom over the years.
I'm selling my pair of tix to tonight's game vs. New Jersey.
The seats are in Section 109 — which is in the lower bowl, corner endzone where the Pens shoot twice.
I'm selling at my STH cost of $183 for the pair.
I'll be around the Waterfront in Homestead this afternoon. If you're interested and can meet up in that area, let me know. (If you contact me between 1-3ish, wait for a reply ... I'll be in a movie).
Looking for a pair (or possibly 3), lower bowl, ideally pens defend twice for Pens vs. Leafs Jan 31st. Budget is in the $100/seat range, looking for hard tickets.
Can pickup the day of or paypal / ship before hand. Message me!
Yes, free. Only catch is you have to sit next to me. For tonight's game. The weather is supposed to be on the frightful side, but it is a great game, Montreal. First to let me know can have it.
As an added bonus I promise to not mention once about how bad the Pirates' ownership and management is the entire time you are at the game.
hey guys!
I have 2 side by side tickets for Toronto Maple Leafs vs Pittsburgh penguins on January 31st in Pittsburgh, Consol Energy Center.
The seats are in section 102 (Club Seating) row E, just 2 rows behind the pens bench!
Tickets are 240 EACH but if you get both, it is negotiable.
They are truly amazing seats!
PM me or email me at westharry10@hotmail.com if you are interested.
Thanks for looking!
