1. He is always injured so he is a non factor.
2. He is not fast enough for the nhl after his injuries.
3. his is not tough enough to compete with enforces, like he did in the past, because of his injuries.
4. He hasnīt played much in the last 2 years, so he lost a lot of confidence, routine and self-evidence (not sure if this is the right word).
A Matt Walker type is needed on this team, but at under a million which is what he is worth. His 2.5 million salary prevents him from having any shot
Isn't that the reason why they brought in Lilja? Big stay at home defenseman, good shot blocker (113 blocks in 52 games), decent hitter (92 hits).... minus the occasional fighting Walker would bring into the mix.
