That would be a steal, I'd say no chance its 5 million.

Anyways, getting Burns to resign makes the trade pretty fair.

It's likely to be in the 6-6.5 range I'd guess.

Great pickup and resigning by San Jose. I imagine the same deal Seabrook got, 5 years/5.8 per.

Good to see he resigned or else that trade might have not looked so good in a few years.

Here begins the 2012 group IIIs coming off the board. Salcer is a tough agent. Curious to see how much Burns got.

IMO, he will get 6M+.

One of the reasons he was traded is because Fletcher didn't want to give the salary Burns wanted.

I agree, around $6 million is a reasonable amount.

Good news. Hope he'll be play up to the expectations. If so, then the Sharks are serious Cup Contenders. Maybe a better goalie, but anything could happen.

Since Wiznewski got $5.5M, I think anything at $7M is reasonable. Burns is >> Wiz.

Bravo DW. Definitely going to be Boyle's replacement when he retires.

So you're saying Burns = Wiznewski? I disagree - he's >> Wiz.

Gonna guess $6.8m

Wiz getting a ludicrous contract doesn't automatically mean signing Burns is worth more, especially since San Jose aren't competing with anyone for his signature. I mean Chicago signing Campbell to that stupid contract three years ago didn't exactly set the market. If Burns signs for $7 million it's a bad deal.
