ok so as we all know at the 1991 draft Lindros refused to put on the nords jersey ...

and he is heavily criticized for it and called a cry baby but do people forget the "Super Mario" did the same thing in 1984 (or 85 i forget).... how come Mario not putting on the pens jersey when he was drafted is overlooked..

i posted this here because if it goes in the nhl threads it would erupt ...

Lemieux didn't put on the jersey because he was negotiating with the Pens before the draft and they weren't close to a deal before the draft so he did it as a ploy to let them know he meant business, not that he wouldn't play for the franchise like Lindros did.

I don't think Eric was the problem as much as his father was. The next guy that ever comes in the league like Eric would be an idiot to have his father represent him instead of an agent.

Lemeuix is a champion, Lindros is one of the most talented players to play the game no doubt, but the off ice antics cloud his greatness on the ice.

Lemieux always was, and still is a *****. Seriously, he took his ball and went home at one point because of NHL officiating. Then we have the most recent example with his embarrassing comments last season.
