Nothing below 80poits for JVR would shock me and something around 60-65points for Marchand.
Be prepared to be shocked.

I'm gonna go off the board a tad I suppose and not pick an early 20s talented prospect. 35 goal season for Joffrey Lupul this year if he stays healthy.

Definitely a possibility, he looked inhuman in some of the playoff games.

Also, forgot Tedenby: kid's gonna be a rockstar.

I think Tavares will light it up this season leads the league in Goals and Points, Hall and Ebs lead the Oil, Kopitar will be in the top 3 in scoring, Duchene will be in the top 10 in scoring, Evander Kane and Bryan Little lead the Jets.

Thats all I got but the Tavares one I'm very high on.

I go with a favorite here and say Tavares. Why? He showed that he has a lot more to his game with face-offs, puck control, and he should have Nino on a wing. And to top that off, he is playing for his next contract next season.

I think Lauri Korpikoski will break out this year with 60 points. He has better offensive skills than we have seen so far. If he is given top line minutes in Phoenix I'm sure he will have an excellent season.

I don't see how Johansson isn't getting more love. Anyone possibly playing in the Caps top 6 is in prime location for a breakout. I would not be surprised if he out up 20-30 for 50 points.

I think cam fowler is really going to breakout this year. He is a smart puck moving defenseman that can skate exceptionally well. I also think that Kopitar is going to be top 5 in scoring all year long. The guy is hockey's answer to Pujols, he is a MACHINE!

Not getting the Pouliot pick at all. First, where is this great skill people think he has? The guy was a very good JR player but even then he was doing it with his size more than skill. He's never been much of a playmaker and hasn't progressed much since being drafted. With his size I could see him possibly picking up 10-15 goals but I don't think that's a breakout player. But I could be wrong.

My pick: Dadonov....He'll get 25+ goals, several of them of the highlight variety

I don't know if he'll hit 40, but he's definitely in line to have a monster campaign.

I also think the other two obvious candidates to have big seasons are JVR and JT.

I'll start with my homer picks. I think Filatov will get around 40-50 pts if he stays on Spezza's wing for most of the season. Talking about Spezza, I think he'll go back to at least a PPG and I wouldn't be surprise to see him get around 80-85pts if he can play 75+ games. Not really a breakout year in his case, more of a return to great first line center year.

Around the league Tavares is a good choice but personally I see Logan Couture lighting it up this year.

Tavares. I know he is already an excellent player, scoring 69 points in his sophomore year (or was it 67?). Anyhow, I'm forecasting a 90+ point season for Tavares and a top-5 finish in the NHL.

Thats the biggest one I see, others are IMO Downie (60+ points), Ennis, Evander Kane, Mikkel Boedker/Kyle Turris

On my team I see Benn reaching 70 points and Lehtonen solidfying himself as a top 15 goalie.

Not dismissing others but the Karlsson calls were on, emerging superstar.

I guess Turris' series against the Wings remained in a lot of people's minds...that one still in play and at this point, fairly promising.
