Yah Detroit's not a factor

No they're not a factor, I'm sorry but playing with Datsyuk and Zetterberg is great and all but there's going to be some serious questions regarding the Wings next offseason. Parise would be dumb to go there if he thought he could win there.

If you had the chance to play with Crosby would you seriously take Zber and Sukwy over him ?

I personally think he will play in Minny for the Wild one day.

since reports are saying that the sides are not close, Id say that a trade will likely happen. Lou is on the way out when Brodeur retires anyway and given that status as a probable retiree, id say its a trade designed to help him win one now....even if its not the best for the long term because Lou is not one to be held hostage

possibly Schenn and Reimer for Parise

That's a start, maybe money is a concern but if you sign with a team that is set up for the future, I am sure you take a little less than market value just to go to that team for long term success rather than going to a team that might get there eventually.
So, for all Leafs fans, sorry but your wet dream just ain't happenin'.

That's where he'll want to play.
pittsburgh?

Vancouver and LA fit the bill alright.
Regardless of if or where he is traded at the deadline, he has UFA status at the end of the year, meaning he can sign wherever he wants. So there is nothing to the 'needing to trade him out West' side of things.

Yah but he's going to play on Nashville with his friend Suter that might not be on the team cause he's a free agent. He's going to play on Minnesota who hasnt made the playoffs in 3 years and hasnt made it out of the first round since 2003 well before the lockout just because he was born there. Yah he's going to Chicago who has no cap room to sign him.

Burke would definitely inquire on Parise, and I would have to assume they have a decent bond through the Team USA work that Burke does.

Could a deal happen? Depends on what Parise is looking for in terms of length and value.

Parise and Suter are both going to the Wild next off-season. They have a great core and will have tons of cap space.

In 2012-2013, the Wild will be adding Parise, Granlund, and Suter to Koivu, Heatley, Setoguchi, Bouchard, Clutterbuck, Backstrom, Schultz, and Scandella.

Look out NHL.

There are many teams with great cores and cap space to burn. Saying they "will" add Suter and Parise is pretty bold.

Dump semin and sign parise. I would much rather give the 6.7 mill to a player like parise.

He wants to win a Cup.

Capitals, Penguins, Wings, Sharks, Bruins, Blackhawks, teams that are a couple years removed from a Cup win or that are always legitimate contenders. The only team outside of that category I see having a shot is Minnesota.

My guess is he will leave NJ if the Devils don't make the playoffs or he doesn't like the coaching situation.

Only because Parise is on it.

Put Parise with any two mediocre first line players and you have a scary line.

I was thinking the same except with Vancouver. We may not have be able to boast as successful a history as Detroit but the fact we were a game away from the cup would certainly be a selling point. Not to mention being suited up with Kesler, who just notched 41 goals. If Parise did not want to be the center show, Vancouver would be ideal since we already have the Sedins, Kesler and even Burrows slotting high goals/point totals.

Would you looky there. We had enough even with Ballard still on the roster. Suppose that ends the "Vancouver wouldn't have the salary to sign Parise!!!" nonsense.

You're assuming Mason Raymond stays at the salary he is. If he goes to arbitration, which is not unheard of, he will get the usual 10% raise. Which in fact would put you even closer to the cap. Being that close to the cap you better hope you don't have any injuries.

Not to mention if Schneider gets a decent raise. Again, if he goes to arbitration, he's looking for at least a 10% raise.

Next offseason the Flames will have 22M in capspace, so if we got one of Parise or Suter it would be amazing.

Parise is going to the Rangers next year, we share barkeepers. He says he wants to wants to skate and play in the most famous arena, a stone's throw away from Hoboken. He wants to smell and see the sights of the big city and see the glory that previous Devils that made the move have seen, Johnny Mac, Driver, Holik and who can forget the Gomez era. Sather will give him 8.5 and he will join greats like Richards, Redden and every big time UFA player goes.

Sedins on the 1st line.
Parise-Kesler on the 2nd line.

Please tell me who will replace the aging Lidstrom ? Surely you don't think he's still the best in the world ?

Congrats you guys won in the past.

There's nothing like playing in your hometown, and he's going to have a chance to win there.
