Victoria at Prince Albert Raiders 20 Jan and Saskatoon Blades 21 Jan
At 20 Jan and 21 Jan
Royals continue to struggle. Losing 3 of 4 on the road trip, it is only by the grace of the hockey gods that Prince George and Everett are doing as bad as we are.
Prince Albert is not doing well either. Sitting at the bottom of the barrel in 12th place and currently on a three game losing streak.
Maybe there is a little sun at the end of the tunnel but that was thought we the Royals played Swift Current.
Saskatoon is in a tight race. Any win or lose can bump them up or down in the standings from 5th position. They are currently 7 - 3 P10.
Not suprised things are going downhill since Sundher left. Oh well, let's get a high pick in the draft and get some highly skilled, fun to watch players who will go high in the NHL draft.
Unless you missed the better part of the season. Sundher was not a huge asset. Granted he has scored goals and assists but the team as a whole still lost.
Prior to his trade the Royals were skating on dull blades and hitting the puck with broken sticks.
Nothing has changed. Get a coach that can coach and leave the GM as the GM and maybe we will get a winning team.

You guys lost Howse, Horak, Manning and Gore at the end of last year. Those four easily were the core of the franchise last yea.
I watched 25-30 games of the Bruins in Chilliwack last year, and I can honestly say, I'm shocked at how poor the team has performed. Sundher surprised me at being such a huge commodity because he never really impressed me overly while in Chilliwack.
How you guys liking Habscheid (#3)? He was always whipping boy in Chilliwack. Still can't figure out how or why he's on the team. Must be the papa...
Victoria is holding on to 8th spot in the West, 1 point behind Seattle who has 3 games in hand and 3 points ahead of Prince George who has 2 game in hand.
Royals had a very dismal road trip to the Prairie Provinces winning 2 of the 6 games. They are 2 and 8 past 10.
Victoria has played the Blazers 5 games so far this season winning 2.
Kamloops have been playing very well this season currently holding 1st place overall and is on a 9 game winning streak.
After seeing 2 shots and 2 goals in 15 seconds for the Blazers, I as well as 5000+ fans felt that the game was over and time to go home. Everyone looked at Habscheid to see if he was going to take out Hamilton.
Thankfully he did not, as 33 shots later the Royals beat the Blazers 4 - 2.

Victoria may gain a few points these next two games to hold on to 8th spot in the Western Division.
Prince George on paper seem to have the same calibre as Victoria. They have now dropped to 10th position in the west, 1 point behind Everett and has 3 games in hand.
The Cougars are currently 2 and 8 while the Royals are 3 and 7 past 10.
Victoria has played the Courgars twice this season winning both.
They now play each other 6 times in the month of February, 4 in Victoria and 2 in Prince George.
Was a good game this evening with lots of mixup. Coaches switched the D men around and some of the forwards. And it showed that they can play.
Took 1 of 2 and now headed to Spokane and the Tri-Cities.

As the paper said Victoria is coming in to some tough games. Not saying that most games this season have been easy, but the Royals have been continuing to flounder.
Spokane currently in 4th has played Victoria once this season winning 6-1 with 3 more games against each other, one tonight and the last two at the end of Feb in Victoria.
Tri-City is different. For some reason they have lost al three games against the Royals. 5-4, 6-2, 5-3. For a top notch team in 2nd spot, the Royals have been able to take the honours. Tomorrow night is there last meeting of the regular season.
