I'd be interesting a Prem League fantasy football league...
And Noodles is right...Aguero will be fun to watch no matter how much I hate Citeh. He changed the whole style of their play. And why do they need Nasri...

I love my fantasy team right now, I managed to afford a top two of Suarez and Aguero
They don't need Nasri, just like they didn't need Clichy because of Kolarov. I liken Citeh to a woman with a few screws loose (tad sexist I guess but hey) - they love to spend money but they have no idea how to do it properly, I mean look at their strikeforce.
Instead of spreading the money around to fix the weaker areas of the squad (midfield, defense) they wasted a whole lot on 'sexy' signings that made the headlines
Out of curiosity, anyone a supporter of a club from the Football League (Championship, and Leagues One, Two)? I've always been fond of Reading, if only for the fact that the President of my beloved and bungling Vancouver Whitecaps FC was once a player there. Will definitely be cheering for Blackpool this season as well.

See I actually think that they do need someone like Nasri. They really only have one creative midfield player in David Silva and I think if they're relying on him all season to do that alone they can't win the title. I know they finished third with much of the same MF but adding Nasri alongside Silva makes their MF dynamic. Yaya Toure, Gareth Barry and Millner are all solid midfielders but they aren't really play makers like Nasri and obviously De Jong is just there for defensive purposes.
And to your point about the spending on upfront players ya they're friggen stacked and some players are probably gonna get their feelings hurt lol. But if Tevez goes to Arsenal and Adebayor goes to Spurs at least that clears up some of the problem. I really think adding Nasri makes the midfield strong enough to play something like a 4-3-1-2 so that way Aguero could play CF with Dzeko/Balotelli and Tevez upfront as strikers depending of course on who is still on the roster after loans.

There was someone on this board whose avatar was the Reading FC crest, but I can't remember his handle.
P.S. Petr Cech will be out for a month, it looks like.

You're probably right actually, after Silva there isn't too much flair in that midfield, and no-one currently gets a good crop of goals from that midfield. If they get Nasri he'd probably get free reign to bomb forward behind Aguero etc.

Yes, Leicester City! Not off to a great start though, but it will take time for their new signings to meld.

Its not a championship club but i'm Sheffield Wednesday fan

I've changed it to Football League clubs now. Shouldn't have left out One & Two. While I wasn't following them, I was shocked to see Sheffield United be relegated. You must have loved that!

Deffo i loved it but then again it ain't good for both sheffield teams in such a low league
2-0 to the Reds, our first win on Arsenal 'soil' in 11 years. Wenger is royally ****ed now. No defenders, booed off the pitch on the first home game of the season, and 1 point from 2 games.

Scary times for you lot. Nasri was the only one of your players who had a sniff, and he's buggering off next week probably. RVP had no service, I still don't rate Walcott, and Ramsey and your whole midfield got dominated by Adam-Henderson-Lucas-Downing. Vermaelen and Scezezny (sp) were the only ones who played well for yous. You play the Mancs next week as well - if Wenger doesn't bring in real quality really quickly (and I mean world class) it could get ugly, especially with all the suspensions and the cluster**** that is the back four.
If I was RVP I'd do a Meireles right to Arsene's face...
Big road win for Liverpool today even if it was against an Arsenal team that is going through some turmoil. For the most part I thought we dominated play, Carroll is getting closer to breaking through, it's only a matter of time. I thought Kelly was an improvement on Flanigan though it's only one game.

Wasn't easy for him today because Vermaelen marked him so well - again though he got called for a ticky tack foul when Downing had it in the net. Twice in two games it's happened, and the refs need to stop giving so much benefit to the defenders, they're all 6ft+ so why is it a foul on Carroll for brushing them with his arm?
I love Kelly, I said it last season too, he's a CB but I actually prefer him at RB because he's superb going forward as he showed today when he rattled the post. Flanagan's a good prospect but it was inevitable when Martin was 100% fit he's be first choice. Enrique had another great game, well worthy of his MOTM

I agree the call on Carroll was very marginal, it's time for the refs to stop penalizing him because of his size and strength, it happens to Chara sometimes in the NHL.
Kelly was a pleasant suprise to me, obviously not to you as you see all of their games, hopefully we will see more of him. Enrique is very good back there, excellent pickup. Hopefully Adam will score soon on one of his long shots, he has been close.
Enrique knocked my socks off, he and Kelly were superb in advancing the ball up the sides of the pitch. He had a scary couple of miscommunications with Pepe but those should subside as he gets used to his new surroundings.
I really liked the look Meireles gives us, I keep him for sure and look to move Maxi to help alleviate the MF logjam. Suarez, what more can you say. He is a wizard with the ball and just opens up space for players around him.
Vermaelen and Sagna didn't play like garbage for L'Arse. Everyone else could have had a better showing. Though it must be hard for Walcott to play effectively with such a huge head.

Raul is the only bright spot from Hodgson's reign. Getting him for £10m is an absolute steal, ditto with Adam (£6m) and Enrique (£5.5m). The back four looks sorted now for the rest of the year, Kelly-Carra-Agger-Enrique (I prefer Kelly over Glen Johnson at RB because he is much more defensive minded but he can still bomb forward.)
I don't think we can afford to let Maxi go right now, after finally getting a proper winger in Downing we still only have 3/4 options. Downing/Kuyt/Maxi/Henderson (CM also) /Cole. Out of those players it's a no-brainer for me, Joe Cole has to go. He hasn't produced and his wages are ridiculous, something like £90,000 a week for a squad player.
**** you, Arsene. Mark Hughes could do a better job at this point. He'd actually change things up if they didn't work the first 50 times. ****.
And now I get to watch my Vancouver Whitecaps get their heads kicked in vs. derby rival Portland. FML.
Now that I've calmed down, I saw this and have to admit, it's pretty much true:
"Liverpool need a red card, an injury, 3 19 year old debutants a favourable offside decision and a crushingly unfortunate own goal to beat a side already missing 3 first choice players and who they've outspent by 100 million pounds?..."
While Arsenal needed the absence of Gerrard and an uncalled two-handed tackle by Arshavin in the box to set up their beat scoring chance. It works both ways but you are right, 'pool should've taken this much more easily.
SS please, I had nearly forgotten Cole's name. What a complete bum.

That whole Pacific corridor has been such a boon to MLS, it looks like great fun, especially when considering that our local MLS outfit is an anachronism, stuck in an NFL stadium down on Route 1 for the foreseeable future. I really don't know if more fans want the Revs to stay in Foxboro or to play in or near Boston, but I'm certainly pining for the latter.
