Alabama is the better team, and I have a feeling they'll win by so much that it won't matter, but that terrible fair catch interference call was game changing. ND would have had the ball on the Bama 35, down 7-0, and instead, it's now 14-0 Bama. I don't think it would have mattered in the end, but it makes a difference in momentum and such.
does this coach have Vandy roots or is he climbing the ladder and will he be hired away by a big dog school in the offseason or next year?
No roots, but he did just sign an extension. I think he was being recruited by some bigger schools but said he made a commitment to Vandy and plans on seeing this program rise. He got Vandy to commit to major upgrades to the football facilities.
San Francisco looked like they weren't going to break through and take the lead in the fourth quarter, but it finally happened. Baltimore took the game out of the trenches and beat the Pats' defense through the air, which was the best chance they had to win.
Not bad at all, I'm sure some people will protest but that is cheap.
A few kids in the arts and Appalachia's scarce-but-obnoxious NIMBYs are having a cow over it, not realizing that the school has also secured planning funds from the state for the long-overdue performing arts center and is looking for appropriations for construction later this year.
My favorites were, "This will negatively affect anyone who isn't a straight white male," essentially saying it's impossible for women to like or want to watch football, and, "My son is transferring because of this decision," to which I say I hope her son enjoys paying twice as much to go to Lincoln Memorial (and good luck finding Harrogate). But I agree, $125 is a handful of sand in the desert in a final analysis.
