I agree, SLake. I was completely indifferent until someone on my facebook page mentioned his remarks on twitter. Of course, someone commented on that status update calling my friend a typical "emotional" fan, and I just had to respond. You don't call out fans, and then attempt to justify it by drawing some imaginary line between "real" and "fake" fans. It's stupid and selfish. I can understand football players wanting contracts with the most guaranteed money as possible, but if you can't handle being in the public eye then you don't have to play a sport that will put you into that position. You certainly don't have to create a twitter account. Don't put yourself ahead of the team because you think you're the best player on the team. Don't assume that because fans are frustrated with your hold-out that they aren't real fans of the team. Honestly, I'm a casual Titans fan, and I used to be a CJ fan as well. I don't consider myself to be a fan of his now, but I'll still root for the Titans.
I kinda like he told some people to hush. I know social media is many things, and one of the things it is, is a avenue for cowardly attacks on people. Not just athletes, but celebrities, and public officials as well. I am not criticizing seths tweet at him, as that is very tame to some of the ones I have read, and I know guys and gals wouldn't say those things when looking him in the eye. Did he go about it the wrong way, maybe, but I like the fact that you got some raw emotion out of him, not some sugar coated pr crap. you got an honest opinion.
I like how they're calling this a neutral site game. It's like saying Tennessee vs USC from LP Field is a neutral site game. Technically it is but they're still playing in their home state against a team from 1,000+ miles away.
What were your thoughts about the uniforms, and were those just for that particular game??
I thought both the UGA and Maryland uniforms were way too complicated and broke away from the traditions of the schools. Difficult to watch either team play...
It did, and I celebrated every single glorious moment of it.
I seriously want to see Boise State reach the national championship game. Heck, at the rate they're going I'd consider giving the automatic BCS bid from the Big 12 (once they fall apart like we all know they're going to do) to the Mountain West; it's not like they're much worse than, say, the Big East or ACC.

Normally I am able to say "I've seen worse" in response to such things.
But in the case of Maryland's jerseys... I can't. I really can't.
What has been seen cannot be unseen.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
They will never make it to the MNC game until they join a BCS conference.
UGA's uniforms were turrible. Outside of the Auburn/Hawaii blackout games the UGA fashion show has backfired everytime. I never want to see them divert from the traditional unis.

I kind of half-expect them to turn whatever conference they're in into a BCS conference. I mean, seriously. After you've been badass so many years in a row, eventually folks kind of have to own up and acknowledge it.
I mean, criminy, they're even getting into NCAA violation trouble just like the big boys.
Titans had a horrendous first half, especially the run defense and special teams. But were still one play away from winning the game, they were definitely not going to light the league on fire this season, but they aren't going to be terrible either. 8-8 would be a decent season, and if everything breaks right they could realistically win the division at 10-6. Coming out flat like that today doesn't help them get towards the latter option.
