Good win indeed. Good pitching by both Lee and the bullpen and the bats came alive. Also nice to see that Howard is fine.

It was a close game until it wasn't.

Lee doesn't get pulled if those guys aren't on base.

Although I do think pulling Lee after 7 is somewhat due to what happened last night, I think it was more due to who was due up and what was happening the bottom of the 7th. Last night Doc lead off the 7th (and got a double) and wasn't due up til the bottom of the 9th again because they didn't score, but tonight Cliff was due up 5th in the inning and they scored 2 and Charlie wanted some more. Cliff was also about an inning or so behind Doc in terms of pitch count too.

Anywho, good game.

Really wouldn't mind seeing Mayberry splitting more time with Ibanez (.136 avg this month).

Also, 24-9 now against lefty starters this season. Best in the majors percentage wise, along with the Yankees.

That is impressive, but we also have two of the best on our staff so we never have to face them.

Atlanta does have some tough left relievers. Though they tend to overwork their bullpen even more than charlie does his starters.

Yeah, really curious if those guys are going to be able to hold up. Very dangerous team in close games, though.

Kimbrel is pitching at an unbelievable level right now (best reliever in the MLB currently) and Venters stuff is dirty. Those two scare me.

Victorino suspension reduced to 2 games, starts serving tonight. Howard also not playing, Gload starting at 1st. Blah.

We need to make that read Thome instead of Gload. He's brutal.

Well, Vic is sitting against a D-Backs game and one after. I guess that's when we wanted it to happen, no? A win tonight with 4 regulars out would be gravy I think.

It looks like a normal team's lineup. Gross.

Mayberry is really fighting to at least split time with Raul right now. It's looking like he could be a solid full-time ML player next year, but our outfield is already set (Brown-Victorino-Pence).(!)

Yea I know. I'm still not sold on him but he keeps producing when he's been given opportunities. Ever since he changed his stance he's looked like a better hitter.

I want JMJ as the 4th OF next year, but all along I have wanted him playing over Ibanez.

Watching an interview with Jamie Moyer during the rain delay.. just wondering, does he still hang around the organization or is he off on his own rehabbing? I know he's not under contract, just curious to know where he's been.

He's on ESPN doing Baseball Tonight from time to time. I don't know what the status of his rehabbing is offhand.

E: In fact he's on now.
